Blazingly fast in Sun. Reliable Sleep Powder user. Synergizes well with Torkoal. |
Ability | Held Item | |
---|---|---|
Chlorophyll | Wide Lens |
Lilligant's best Ability is Chlorophyll, which allows it to be incredibly fast in Sun. Its Held Item is Wide Lens, which raises the accuracy of Sleep Powder because a successful Sleep Powder can often turn a match in your favor.
Leaf Storm | Sleep Powder |
After You | Protect |
Leaf Storm is Lilligant's only damaging Move. This is especially useful against Grass-weak Pokemon like Dondozo or Wash Rotom. However, we will not rely on this move for offense as Lilligant is not an exclusively offensive Pokemon.
The most important Move of the set is Sleep Powder. This Move can single-handedly win games if it is successful. Sleep is devastating, as it allows for Pokemon to lose turns.
After You is used in tandem with a slower and more powerful Pokemon. Lilligant, when coupled with Torkoal, make up a popular core called 'Lillikoal', where the two Pokemon have natural synergy with each other.
Protect on this set is mainly used for protecting Lilligant from Fake Out without needing to commit to Terastallization.

Ghost is the best Tera Type for this build because that will allow Lilligant to be immune to Fake Out.
Best Ghost Type Pokemon for Ranked Battle
It is important to max out Speed for Lilligant, as it needs to always use Sleep Powder or After You first. We maximize Special Attack so that Leaf Storm will deal as much damage as possible on the rare instances where we use it.
The remaining EVs are put into Special Defense to raise it by 1 point so that it can better take Special Moves.
Helping Hand | A reliable way to boost an ally's damage output. |
---|---|
Pollen Puff | Pollen Puff allows Lilligant to heal its teammate. This is also good for damaging opposing Brute Bonnet. |
Lilligant flourishes in Sun teams, being able to outspeed the quickest Pokemon in the format. It becomes a mediocre Pokemon outside of Sun, so be sure to have ways of enabling Sun with Lilligant on your team.
Lilligant can put opponents to sleep with Sleep Powder, and allow for big KOs with After You. Access to these support options make Lilligant a valuable support Pokemon in Sun teams.
Lilligant is a natural fit for Sun-oriented teams thanks to its Chlorophyll Ability giving it blistering Speed. Teammates that can enable and abuse Sun are welcome teammates for Lilligant.

Lilligant | Torkoal |
Support | Special Attacker |
Murkrow | Wash Rotom |
Lilligant and Torkoal make up 'Lillikoal' teams, as these two Pokemon have great synergy together. Lilligant can put opponents to sleep with Sleep Powder, or enable huge Eruption KOs by using After You with Torkoal.
Murkrow can manually set up Sun when anticipating a Pelipper switch-in.
Lastly, Wash Rotom with a Fire Tera Type can benefit from the sun, giving it incredible coverage in Electric, Water, and Fire.
Moves like Fake Out will often force the Lilligant user to play defensively. You can use this to your advantage, by predicting a Protect, and double targetting its teammate.
Follow Me puts a stop to strategies involving Lilligant, with Follow Me users being able to redirect away After You and Sleep Powder.
