Metronome |
The best ability for Meloetta in Tera Raid Battles is Serene Grace. When used in conjunction with Relic Song, it increases the chance to put the Raid Pokemon to sleep.
A Fighting Tera Type in conjunction with a Metronome held item, allows Meloetta to have great damage output combined with healing with consecutive Drain Punches.
As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Attack. Max out your HP, and Atk EVs, while putting the remaining points into Special Defense. This allows Meloetta to have decent bulk, while still having high offense.
Give Meloetta a Metronome to boost the damage output of Drain Punch by 10% each time it is used consecutively!
Meloetta Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Relic Song to immediately change into Pirouette Forme. |
Optional | Use Charm to support the team. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Swords Dance to buff your Attack stat. |
Low HP Turns | Use Drain Punch to regain HP . |
Turns 5+ | Use Drain Punch to regain HP and build Tera Orb charge. Once you can, Terastallize and keep using Drain Punch. |
Start out the Tera Raid Battle by using Relic Song immediately to change forms.
Follow with Swords Dance 3 times to max out your Attack stat. Use Drain Punch when HP is Low to regain HP.
If it's not already up, use Charm to raise your party's bulk to Physical attacks.
Proceed to attack consecutively with Drain Punch to boost it's damage each turn, while also replenishing your HP.
Terastallize when you get a chance, to further boost your damage output and break through the Raid Boss' Energy Shield!

Shell Bell |
The best ability for Meloetta in Tera Raid Battles is Serene Grace. While this is the only ability Meloetta has access to, Meloetta can make use of this ability by saving up a few turns of setting up by boosting Psychic's ability to lower the opponent's Sp. Def.
We also recommend getting a Meloetta with a Psychic Tera Type because Psychic gets an increased damage boost from your Psychic Tera type. As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense.Give it a Shell Bell to help Meloetta recover HP when dealing damage.
Meloetta Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turns 1~3 | Use Calm Mind a few times to buff your Sp. Atk and Sp. Def. |
Optional | Use Light Screen or Thunder Wave to support the team. |
Turns 2~6 | Alternate using Fake Tears and Psychic to debuff the Raid Boss while also healing up with your Shell Bell. |
Turns 7+ | Terastallize and use Psychic to deal massive damage against the Raid Pokemon. |
Start Tera Raid Battles by using Calm Mind three times to boost Meloetta's Special Attack and Special Defense by three stages.
You can also opt to use Light Screen or Thunder Wave to hinder the Raid Boss.
After setting up, alternate using Fake Tears and Psychic in ordeer to shred the opponent's Sp. Def Stat.
Terastallize when you get a chance, to further boost your damage output and break through the Raid Boss' Energy Shield!

This Meloetta Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Fighting, and Poison Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Bug or Dark Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Meloetta will be weak to these Types as a Psychic-Type attacker.
