From October 27 to 31, the Ghost-Type Pokemon Drifloon, Greavard, Phantump, and Mimikyu were appearing throughout Paldea and Kitakami at an increased spawn rate!
The Ghost-Type Pokemon encountered at these Mass Outbreaks will have a boosted chance of having the Crafty Mark!
Mass Outbreak Events Schedule and Pokemon
To join this mass outbreak event, you needed to connect your game to the Internet to update the game data. Once done, Ghost-type Pokemon should start appearing on your map!
To connect to the Internet, simply press the X button to open the menu and press the L button to connect to the Internet.
During the Mass Outbreak Event, caught Ghost-Type Pokemon had a higher than usual chance of having the Crafty Mark, conferring upon them the "the Opportunist" Title when used in battles.
Stock up on Sandwiches and Pokeballs to help you catch a Ghost-Type Pokemon with the mark you want!
If the odds of getting an event marked Pokemon are similar to the previous Clefairy Mass Outbreak event, then it's likely around a 1 in 20 or a 5% chance for the Crafty Mark to appear on a Pokemon.
You also seem to have an increased chance to find these Ghost-Type Pokemon with other marks if you're not looking to get the Crafty Mark specifically.
While Phantump can only be found in Kitakami natively, players could catch one in Paldea due to the mass outbreak. This was one of few ways a player without the DLC can catch one!
This can be very helpful for players who are looking to add Phantump and Trevenant to their collection early on, to use in either Tera Raids or Online Battles.
Some Ghost-Type Pokemon like Phantump and Drifloon normally only appear at night. However, during this mass outbreak event, all of these Ghost-Types could appear at any time of day in both Paldea and Kitakami!
Kitakami Day Night Cycle and All Time Based Pokemon
Since Mass Outbreaks feature increased spawn rates of a specific Pokemon, this was a good time to hunt for a Shiny Variant of these Ghost-Type Pokemon!
Make and consume Sparkling Power Sandwiches, and use the Picnic Reset Method to make your shiny hunt easier!
