Rotom Phone makes a return as the in-game Map, Pokedex, Camera, and Key Item in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Read on to learn about its new features, and what it can do for you in the Paldea region!

A cosmetic improvement for the Rotom Phone is that the circle in the middle of the phone now glows. A functional improvement is the Rotom Phone's second camera, whose function remains to be seen.

The Rotom Phone now comes with several new apps that will help you on your adventures in the Paldea region.

Pokedex App

The Pokedex will now be on your Rotom Phone as an App that will assist you in your journey in the Paldea region.

The Rotom Phone will now have a Map App that will show you all sorts of useful information, such as your current location, Pokemon Center locations, nearby towns, and wild Pokemon. the Map app also allows you to see the entirety of the Paldea region.

This is utilized as a small circular overlay visible directly in the overworld, with nearby notable landmarks, marked destinations and a compass. Once opened it expands to a more expansive map of the Paldea Region, with all of the useful map features also available in this screen.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Camera App

The Camera App allows you to take selfies and pictures of characters and Pokemon in your surroundings. Your selfies can also be used as a profile picture for your character profile.
