Shell Bell |
Contrary with Leaf Storm and Tera Blast lets you set up you Sp. Atk while dealing damage Giga Drain lets you heal off damage letting you have access to other held items. Breaking Swipe lets you facetank more damage. |
The best ability for Serperior in Tera Raid Battles is Contrary, as it will allow Serperior to boost its Special Attack instead of reducing it with Leaf Storm and Tera Blast.
We also recommend getting a Serperior with a Stellar Tera Type because this will boost Serperior's moves when it Terastallizes. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and with dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense.
Due to Giga Drain's healing potency, here's some moves we could recommend that could help in certain types of raids that could be used instead of Shell Bell.
Item | Case |
---|---|
Clear Amulet | Great agaisnt raid bosses that rely on lowering your stats. |
Covert Cloak | This can prevent annoying status conditions or flinching caused by secondary effects |
Serperior Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Light Screen or Reflect to facetank some hits from the Raid Boss. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Leaf Storm to buff your Special Attack or Breaking Swipe to lower the Raid Boss' Attack while building Tera Orb charges. |
Low HP Turns | Use Giga Drain to heal yourself up. |
Turns 6+ | Terastallize and swap to Tera Blast as your main attacking move. |
This build revolves around buffing yourself with Tera Blast thanks to your Contrary Ability. With this, you can Terastallize and hit any tera Raid Boss for Super Effective Damage.
Before Tera, you can use Breaking Swipe as a Defensive option or use Leaf Storm if the Raid Boss is a Special Attacker.
Super-Effective Damage Dealt by Serperior |
|
---|---|
Tera Blast(+6 Sp. Atk, Stellar Tera) 1,460 ~ 1,720 (19.2 ~ 22.6%) |
These calculations were done using our Tera Raid Damage Calculator
Due to its Stellar Typing, this Serperior Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to almost any Tera Raid Boss. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fire, Flying, or Bug Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different Pokemon, as Serperior will be weak to these Types as a Stellar Type attacker.

|
You can catch a Snivy with a Grass Tera Type at the Savanna Biome.
In order to get Snivy in the Terarium, you need to complete Terry's Boost biodiversity in the Savanna Biome request on the Support Board for 3000 BP
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
Alternatively, you can transfer any member of the Serperior line into Scarlet and Violet via Pokemon HOME! The last game this line was available was in Pokemon Sun and Moon so you might need to use Pokemon Bank.
How to Transfer Pokemon from Pokemon HOME
If the Serperior build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.

If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp.Atk), and 1 Iron (for Def) or Zinc (for Sp. Def). All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total.
