Tera Shards are used to change a Pokemon's Tera Type into another in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Read on to learn what Tera Shards do, how to get and farm Tera Shards, all the Tera Shards available, and how to use them.
The Item Printer was found to generate items the second you press the "I want to print something" text. This can then be exploited by changing your Nintendo Switch's internal time and obtain prints that are consistent and can be replicated by anyone.
How to Do the Indigo Disk Item Printer RNG Exploit
You can get Tera Shards as rewards for clearing higher difficulty Tera Raid Battles, in the range of 3★ raids and up. You can obtain rewards as long as you catch or defeat the raid Pokemon!
The Tera Shard you can obtain from Tera Raid Battles will be the same type of the raid Pokemon's Tera Type, and not the Pokemon's original typing.
For example, if you defeated a wild Pokemon with a Fire Tera Type, you will only get Fire Tera Shards.

A new type of Tera Shard is available in The Indigo Disk DLC! The Stellar Tera Shard lets any Pokemon get the new Stellar Tera Type.
How to Farm Stellar Tera Shards
Tera Shards are primarily collected and used as a means to change a single Pokemon's Tera Type into another. This is useful if you ever want to change your Pokemon's Tera Type into something else, especially if you do not want it's current one!
A Pokemon's Tera Type can be changed at the Treasure Eatery in Medali. You first have to beat Larry, Medali's Gym Leader, in order to access this feature.
You can then change a Pokemon's Tera Type by talking to the Chef stationed behind the counter, including if you want to give them a Stellar Tera Type.
How to Beat Larry: Medali Gym Leader Guide
You need a total of 50 Tera Shards to change your Pokemon's Tera Type.
