This is build is designed to counter Dragon Tera Pokemon in Tera Raids. The best Ability for Abomansow is Snow Warning, which sets up Snow once it enters the field. This weather gives the move Blizzard perfect accuracy while also increasing the Defense of Ice-type Pokemon by 50%. Snow Warning also allows Abomasnow to set up Aurora Veil to further boost its bulk.
We also recommend getting an Abomasnow with Ice Tera to give it a boost to Ice Spinner when it Terastallizes.
Since this Abomasnow is a physical attacker, an Adamant Nature is best to boost its physical attacks.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards making Garchomp a stronger physical attacker so it can provide heavier damage. Max out your Attack and HP EVs , while adding the remaining EVs into Defense to round off its bulk. Giving it a Shell Bell ensures that it recovers HP when it attacks.
Abomasnow Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Aurora Veil to boost your team's defense |
Turns 2~4 | Use Swords Dance to boost Abomasnow's Attack. |
Turns 5+ | Use Ice Spinner and KO the opposing Pokemon. |
Abomasnow matches up favorably against Tera Dragon Pokemon in Tera Raids, as it can take neutral damage from Dragon-type Moves. Its typing is also good for offense, as Ice hit Tera Dragon Pokemon for super-effective damage.

This Abomasnow Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Ground, Water and Grass Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fire, Steel, Poison, Flying, Bug, or Grass Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Abomasnow will be weak to these Types as a Grass Type attacker.

Leftovers |
The best ability for Abomasnow in this Tera Raid Battles is Snow Warning, as that will reduce the amount of damage received from the Raid Pokemon's Physical Attacks, thanks to Snow's Defense boost.
We also recommend getting a Abomasnow with a Grass Tera Type because this will boost Abomasnow's STAB Seed Bomb or Wood Hammer when it Terastallizes. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and with dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense.
