・ Body Slam ・ Crunch ・ Earthquake |
Greedent's Cheek Pouch Ability separates itself from other Belly Drum users, healing Greedent 33% of its max HP after eating a berry. With Sitrus Berry equipped, it can restore its HP completely after it uses Belly Drum.
Body Slam is its main STAB move that has a 30% chance to paralyze the target and also gets a Tera Normal boost. Crunch rounds off its coverage and allows it to hit Ghost-types like Gholdengo who otherwise wall it completely.
Earthquake is its last coverage move and hits bulky Poison-types such as Toxapex and Clodsire for super effective damage.
Psychic Fangs | An alternative to Earthquake that allows Greedent to remove Reflect, Light Screen, and Aurora Veil. |

The following calculations take into account Greedent's Offensive EV spread with an Adamant Nature and the +6 Attack boost from Belly Drum.

Belly Drum
・ Body Slam ・ Crunch ・ Seed Bomb |
This is a variant Belly Drum set with the Gluttony Ability to ensure that pinch berries such as Ganlon or Apicot activate as soon as Greedent cuts its HP in half, giving it an additional +1 Defense or Special Defense boost on top of the +6 Attack Boost from Belly Drum.
Body Slam is its main STAB move and hits hard when further boosted by Tera Normal, while also having a 30% chance to paralyze the target. Crunch rounds off its coverage and hits Ghost-types that wall Greedent completely.
Its last coverage move is Seed Bomb which allows it to threaten Hippowdon and Ting-Lu who can simply phaze Greedent with Whirlwind.
Earthquake | An alternative coverage move that allows Greedent to hit bulky Rock-types such as Garganacl. |
---|
The following calculations take into account Greedent's Offensive EV spread with an Adamant Nature and the +6 Attack boost from Belly Drum. It also factors in the +1 Defense or Special Defense boost from Ganlon and Apicot Berry respectively.

Ability | Cheek Pouch |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Ganlon Berry |
Moveset | ・
Stuff Cheeks
・ Body Press ・ Super Fang ・ Thief |
This is a defensive build utilizing Stuff Cheeks to eat its held berry and raise its Defense by two stages. This works in conjunction with Cheek Pouch, healing Greedent 33% of its maximum HP once it consumes the berry.
Ganlon Berry is the preferred held item for this build to raise Greedent's Defense by three stages once consumed with Stuff Cheeks, and also raises the power of Body Press. Fighting Tera type further boosts the power of the move and also removes Greedent's weakness to Fighting-type moves.
Super Fang cuts the opponent's HP and half and brings defensive Pokemon in KO range and also dissuades opposing setup sweepers from staying on the field.
Thief is Dark-type STAB move that hits Ghost-types and also steals the target's held item, giving Greedent a chance to use Stuff Cheeks again if it manages to steal another berry.
Stockpile | Can replace Thief and raises Greedent's Defense and Special Defense by one stage. This move leaves it very susceptible to getting phazed or walled by Ghost-types. |
---|
The following calculations take into account Greedent's Defensive EV Spread with an Impish Nature, the +3 Defense boost from Stuff Cheeks and Ganlon Berry, as well as Fighting Tera-type boost.

Tera Type | |
Held Item | Sitrus Berry |
Moveset | ・
Belly Drum
・ Tera Blast ・ Body Slam ・ Psychic Fangs |
This set is similar to the Singles build with Cheek Pounch and Sitrus Berry healing Greedent to full HP after using Belly Drum.
Tera Blast is its main STAB move and becomes a strong Fire-type STAB once Greedent terastallizes into a Fire-type. This allows it to check Steel-types that it usually has trouble with, such as Corviknight and Iron Treads.
Body Slam is its secondary STAB move and has a 30% chance to inflict paralysis, while Psychic Fangs gives it some utility by removing Reflect, Light Screen, and Aurora Veil from the field.
Seed Bomb | Seed Bomb is a great alternative coverage move that can replace Psychic Fangs and allows Greedent to hit bulky Ground and Water-types. |
---|---|
Wild Charge | Another great alternative coverage move that allows Greedent to hit Water and Flying-types. |
The following calculations take into account Greedent's Offensive EV spread with an Adamant Nature and +6 Attack boost from Belly Drum, while also terastallized as a Fire-type.

Held Item | Apicot Berry |
Moveset | ・
Stuff Cheeks
・ Body Press ・ Super Fang ・ Thief |
This is similar to the Singles variant but with Apicot Berry to give it +1 Special Defense and +2 Defense once it uses Stuff Cheeks. Cheek Pouch is still the best Ability for this build to ensure Greedent gets healed by 33% of its maximum HP once it consumes the berry.
Body Press is its main attacking move and gets STAB once it terastallizes into a Fighting-type. Super Fang allows it to help its ally by cutting the target's HP in half and bringing them in KO range.
Since berries are more common held items in the Doubles battle format, Thief is an invaluable move so that Greedent can get +4 Defense boost once it steals another berry and eats it with Stuff Cheeks.
Stockpile | Can replace Thief and raises Greedent's Defense and Special Defense by one stage. This move leaves it very susceptible to getting phazed or walled by Ghost-types. |

The following calculations take into account Greedent's Defensive EV Spread with an Impish Nature, the +2 Defense boost from Stuff Cheeks and +1 Special Defense boost from Apicot Berry, as well as Fighting Tera-type boost.

Greedent's High HP stat and respectable physical bulk makes it an effective Belly Drum user in both Singles and Doubles, with its Cheek Pouch Ability ensuring it fully heals to max HP when it holds Sitrus Berry.
Greedent also has a respectable physical movepool and can also surprise its usual checks and counters by terastallizing into a Fire-type while simultaneously giving it extra coverage.
Greedent's low speed means it appreciates Tailwind support in both the Singles and Doubles format as its otherwise outrun by stronger attackers that can take advantage of its weaknesses.
Lead Support | Physical Attacker | Special Attacker |
---|---|---|
Salamence | Greedent | Armarouge |
Support Salamence with Tailwind is a great lead for this teams ince it can also lower the opposing lead's Attack with Intimidate, making it easier for Greedent to switch and set up with Belly Drum later.
Armarouge is this team's Special Attacker and has great offensive synergy with Greedent, while also benefitting from Tailwind.
Lead Attacker | Redirection Support |
---|---|
Greedent | Amoonguss |
Special Attacker | Bulky Pivot |
Hydreigon | Garganacl |
Greedent leads this balanced Doubles team and thanks to Rage Powder support from Amoonguss, it can safely terastallize and setup with Belly Drum at the start of the match.
Hydreigon is this team's Special Attacker and also appreciates redirection support so that it can safely setup with Nasty Plot. Garganacl fills the role of offensive pivot and keeps the pressure on opposing defensive pivots with Salt Cure.
Greedent's low Speed stat makes it vulnerable to faster and stronger attackers that can either force it out or simply KO it with their STAB moves.
