Perhaps you're thinking about taking the Charizard you've caught in the 7-Star Charizard Raid and taking it out for a spin. Thankfully, it has access to its Hidden Ability Solar Power, that with a few tweaks, could be pretty strong for Tera Raids.
This Charizard also benefits from the Dragon-Tera Type because it removes Charizard's many weaknesses and instead offers key resistances against Fire, Water, Grass, and Electric Tera Raids. As a Special Attacker, the Modest nature it comes with is best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability while dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your Sp. Atk and HP EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special.Defense. The Leftovers can help it recover some of the health it loses from Solar Power.
If there isn't a Koraidon on your party, you'd typically start with a Sunny Day on Turn 1, before attacking with the best move for the matchup. This set should have perfect neutral coverage, but it would be best to hit with a Super-Effective move. After enough turns, you can Terastallize into the Dragon-type to reduce Charizard's weaknesses to help with survivability.

Sitrus Berry |
This Charizard build takes on a different approach, with a Physical build instead of the usual Special Attacker build, to capitalize on Belly Drum.
The main damaging move for this build will be Acrobatics, since it will synergize well with Belly Drum, and its Base Power will double once the Sitrus Berry gets consumed.
We recommend getting a Charizard with a Flying Tera Type for this build, to further increase the damage of Acrobatics. Ground or Fire Tera Types could also work, but is slightly less effective than the Flying Tera type.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out Charizard's HP and Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp. Def.
Give Charizard a Sitrus Berry to recover some HP after using Belly Drum, which will also double Acrobatics' base power after the berry is consumed.
Charizard Turn-by-Turn Raid Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Belly Drum to maximize your Attack stat. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Acrobatics to deal damage while building Tera Orb charge. |
Turns 5+ | Terastallize and use Acrobatics to deal stat-boosted, double STAB damage. |
Start the battle by using Belly Drum to boost Charizard's Attack stat by 6 stages. This should bring you to half HP, and Charizard should also consume the Sitrus Berry by this point. Use Acrobatics to deal boosted damage while you build up your Tera Orb charge.
Once you are able to, Terastallize and continue using Acrobatics to deal damage. If you gave your Charizard a Ground Tera type, you can use Earthquake instead of Acrobatics.
Against raid Pokemon that use Sleep inducing status moves, taking Sleep Talk will allow you to deal damage even when you are asleep.

This Water Tera Special Attacker Raid Build is an effective counter to Grass, Fighting, and Bug Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually an Electric or Rock Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Charizard will be weak to both types after terastallizing.
