This returning ruleset will allow for Legendary Pokemon into the mix, which should mix the meta up!
The newly introduced Stellar Tera Type from the Indigo Disk DLC is legal for play in Regulation F. This allows for your Pokemon to get a damage boost for first instance that a move of a specific type is used in battle, among other effects.

Walking Wake, Iron Leaves, Raging Bolt, Iron Crown, Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder are all legal in Regulation G! These Pokemon are sure to dominate the meta with their excellent typings, great stats and new exclusive moves!
The following are the criteria to be met when ranking Pokemon for Ranked Singles.
These Tiers are determined by how drastically a match is altered by a Pokemon being on the field. Whether it be Redirection, Support, or a strong Offensive presence, a Pokemon's impactfulness determines its placement on our list.
The criteria for best Pokemon also take into account team synergy or how well each Pokemon works in conjunction with its teammates.
The potential of Pokemon Terastallizing is also taken into account as this mechanic not only gives it an extra STAB of a different type, it can also remove its glaring weaknesses and give it new resistances.
Pokemon often have synergy with each other, which allows them to work together for good results. Featured below are some of these Pokemon and the teammates they would frequently have.

Ability | Psychic Surge | As One (Shadow Rider)
Held Item | Psychic Seed | Life Orb
Role | Support | Special Attacker |
Calyrex (Shadow Rider) is a much better user of Expanding Force compared to Armarouge or Iron Crown due to its naturally high Special Attack stat, higher Speed and Grim Neigh Ability that allows it to snowball after a knock out. This alsp means that Indeedee no longer needs to assist in setting up Trick Room and can go for Helping Hand boosts instead.

Ability | Armor Tail | As One (Ice Rider)
Held Item | Sitrus Berry | White Herb
Role | Support | Physical Attacker |
Trick Room remains powerful in Regulation G with the reintroduction of Calyrex (Ice Rider) as the premiere Trick Room attacker with Farigiraf as an effective support Pokemon.
Chilling Neigh allows Calyrex (Ice Rider) to snowball after a single knockout, which is made even more potent in Trick Room conditions.

Flutter Mane benefits from Groudon's Sun which triggers its Protosynthesis. Tornadus-I can also manually set up Sun with Sunny Day, and set Tailwind to maintain Speed control.

Incineroar and Rillaboom make for a consistent core to teams, allowing players the option of having defensive switches. Their typing, natural defense, and Abilities make them a solid addition to any team.

|
Ability | Hadron Engine | Quark Drive
Held Item | Life Orb | Focus Sash
Role | Special Attacker | Special Attacker |
Iron Bundle gets an immediate Speed boost in Electric Terrain thanks to its Quark Drive Ability, which always makes it the fastest Pokemon on the field. It can then spam Icy Wind to maintain Speed superiority, while Miraidon goes on the offensive.
Calyrex Shadow Rider and Ice Rider will often go toe-to-toe in the Regulation G format, with Speed Control being a deciding factor in these matchups.
With an uptick in Dark-type usage to combat Calyrex (Shadow Rider), Fighting-types will find more usage in this format because of their positive matchups against Dark-types in general.
Popular Pokemon like Incineroar, Calyrex (Ice Rider), and KIngambit. are also at a disadvantage against Fighting-types.

The following rankings are obtained from player data from Pokemon HOME. The list displays the most commonly-used Tera Types, Abilities, held items, and moves for the top 10 Pokemon in Doubles Battles during Regulation F of Ranked Battles.
Note: All the Ogerpon forms are combined into one entry in Pokemon HOME, so it is difficult to discern what the individual rankings for each form are.
