Hands-on Preview Shown to Limited News Sites

Although no demo has been made available to players, a limited selection of news sites were able to play a short demo in a hands-on preview on October 21.

Unlikely to Have Demo Release

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Scizor vs Golduck

There is currently no announcement regarding the release of a demo for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The past 2 mainline Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch have not had demo releases, and Scarlet and Violet are expected to follow that release formula, given the lack of announcement.

The only Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch to have a demo release were Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, yet their demo release on the Nintendo eStore came months after the full games' release.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Fuecoco vs Pawmi

There is currently no announcement regarding a beta version release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It's unlikely a beta version will be released at this point, a couple weeks before the game's release date, as GameFreak would likely rather showcase a portion of the finished product via a demo release.

Additionally, no mainline Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch has had a beta version release.
