List of Contents
After the Character Customization, you will start your journey at your home and will only be able to move around while walking slowly. To move faster, you need to progress the story to the point where you leave your house.
There are no "Running Shoes" in this game, in case you're wondering.
Once you get outside your house with the three Starter Pokemon, you can push the left stick to make your character run and move faster!
Lightly tilting the left stick will make your character walk slowly like before.
Running allows your character to move faster than normal while exploring. You will need to manage with this speed until you unlock Miraidon or Koraidon as a Rideable Pokemon!
Running around in wild areas can alert nearby Pokemon. Though this doesn't scare them away that they eventually disappear, you will lose the element of surprise that you can get by sneaking up on them.
Some Pokemon will even run at you and initiate a battle if you're spotted!
You can sneak on wild Pokemon by crouching (press B) to move slowly and quietly. Gain a preemptive strike on an unaware Pokemon by starting a battle with the ZR button!
