The Masterpiece Teacup can only be used on the Artisan Form of Poltchageist. If the Masterpiece Teacup does not work on your Poltchageist, try using an Unremarkable Teacup instead.

To know what form you have, an Artisan Poltchageist will have a Stamp of Authenticity found on the underside of the cup. You can check this by rotating the overworld camera.

Confirming with a Pokedex is Faster

The Pokedex also indicates the form you got right after catching it as shown above. We recommend the best method to get an Artisan form Poltchageist is to keep catching as much as you can until the Pokedex confirms you caught an Artisan one, as checking each one with the camera may take longer.
