This is a bulkier team that features multiple Pokemon introduced in the Indigo Disk DLC. It also features a strong Water-Fire-Grass core that can pivot in and out to tank hits for each other, as well as multiple Steel-types with a great amount of resistances.
Nature | Jolly (+Spe, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | HP 4 / Atk 252 / Spe 252 |
Final Stat Values | HP 186 / Atk 187 / Def 80 / Sp.Def 85 / Spe 154 |
Ability | Mold Breaker |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Focus Sash |
Moveset | ・
Iron Head
・ Earthquake ・ Rock Slide ・ Stealth Rock |
Excadrill has a great Attack stat and offensive movepool, but is very frail. It will need to hold a Focus Sash so that it guarantees a single move to go off.
For its moves, Iron Head is its strongest Steel-type move and Earthquake plus Rock Slide create the strong Ground and Rock offensive combo that only a very small list of Pokemon can resist. Finally, Stealth Rock is a great utility move that deals chip damage to the opponent, making it easier for its allies to knockout the opponent.

EV Spread | HP 252 / Sp. Atk 4 / Spe 252 |
Final Stat Values | HP 182 / Def 115 / Sp. Atk 96 / Sp.Def 115 / Spe 181 |
Ability | Contrary |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Leftovers |
Moveset | ・
Leaf Storm
・ Tera Blast ・ Substitute ・ Synthesis |
Serperior has pretty good bulk, and when combined with Substitute, Synthesis, and Leftovers, it becomes very annoying to knockout with all the safety and healing that it gets.
As for its attacking moves, it has Leaf Storm and Stellar Tera Blast due to their ability to boost Serperior's Sp. Atk with Contrary. Do note that a Stellar Tera Blast will only boost Serperior's attacking stats when it is used against an opponent that has also Terastallized.

EV Spread | HP 4 / Sp. Atk 252 / Spe 252 |
Final Stat Values | HP 166 / Def 120 / Sp. Atk 174 / Sp.Def 128 / Spe 165 |
Ability | Quark Drive |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Booster Energy |
Moveset | ・
Tachyon Cutter
・ Psyshock ・ Volt Switch ・ Agility |
Iron Crown has naturally great defensive stats, allowing it to invest more into its offensive stats, especially with a Booster Energy equipped.
Tachyon Cutter is important to break opposing Focus Sashes and Multiscales while Psyshock lets Iron Crown deal with high Sp. Def Pokemon by targeting their Defense instead. Volt Switch is used to get Iron Crown out of bad matchups and Agility helps it outspeed fast Pokemon since Booster Energy is boosting its Sp. Atk.

EV Spread | HP 4 / Atk 252 / Spe 252 |
Final Stat Values | HP 181 / Atk 167 / Def 141 / Sp.Def 113 / Spe 157 |
Ability | Protosynthesis |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Loaded Dice |
Moveset | ・
Scale Shot
・ Flare Blitz ・ Earthquake ・ Dragon Dance |
Gouging Fire is an amazing setup sweeper due to its natural bulk and offensive output, especially when combined with a Loaded Dice.
Dragon Dance and Scale Shot is the main combination used to make Gouging Fire an incredibly fast and threatening attacker that is nearly impossible to deal with once set up. It also has STAB Flare Blitz and Earthquake as coverage moves since not a single Pokemon is able to resist all three of its attacks.
Gouging Fire Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk) |

EV Spread | HP 252 / Sp. Atk 252 / Sp. Def 4 |
Final Stat Values | HP 197 / Def 150 / Sp. Atk 194 / Sp.Def 86 / Spe 105 |
Ability | Stamina |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Assault Vest |
Moveset | ・
Dragon Pulse
・ Flash Cannon ・ Body Press ・ Tera Blast |
Archaludon has very high HP and Defense but low Sp. Def, so it is equipped with an Assault Vest to counteract this and make it ridiculously bulky.
Dragon Pulse and Flash Cannon are its chosen STAB moves due to their consistency and lack of downsides, while Body Press helps Archaludon deal with Steel-types that resist its STAB moves. Finally, Tera Blast becomes a Flying-type coverage move that hits a wide range of Pokemon for super-effective damage.

Ability | Torrent |
Tera Type | |
Held Item | Choice Specs |
Moveset | ・
Surf
・ Moonblast ・ Ice Beam ・ Flip Turn |
Primarina acts as both a great attacker and defensive pivot due to its typing and base stats, but the main downside is its Defense is pretty low. Thankfully, it can make up for this with Choice Specs boosted attacks.
Surf and Moonblast are amazing STAB attacks that only a few Pokemon are able to resist, and Ice Beam is its main coverage move that helps it deal with the Grass/Poison-types that resist its STAB moves. Finally, Flip Turn is used to pivot Primarina out and bring in an ally in its place.

Leads | ||
---|---|---|
Excadrill |
Gouging Fire |
Primarina |
These three Pokemon are ideally used as leads for this team with each of them fulfilling a different role.
Excadrill is the most obvious lead since it can setup Stealth Rocks for its team and Gouging Fire is a more offensive lead that can setup against more passive leads on the opponent's lead
Lastly, Primarina can be used as a lead to scout the opponent's Pokemon and switch out with Flip Turn when needed.
Revenge Killers | ||
---|---|---|
Archaludon |
Primarina |
Iron Crown |
The idea moving forward in battle is that you would want to use your next Pokemon to remove any threats so that your last Pokemon can have a safe late game sweep.
These three Pokemon can come in and use their bulk and defensive typing to tank hits and deal good damage in return. They could also knockout the opponent's Pokemon with boosted attacks in the process.
Endgame Sweepers | ||
---|---|---|
Gouging Fire |
Archaludon |
Serperior |
Keep your strongest Pokemon alive for an endgame sweep. Gouging Fire and Serperior are both amazing attackers that can easily finish off the enemy's team with Dragon Dance and Contrary boosted attacks respectively, while Archaludon can utilize its amazing bulk to survive the enemy's attacks and get knockouts in return.
Offensive Lead | Special Attacker | Physical Attacker |
---|---|---|
Primarina |
Serperior |
Gouging Fire |
These three Pokemon create a strong Water-Grass-Fire core that can swap in and out to cover for each other's weaknesses.
Primarina is used as a lead to scout the enemy's team and switch out with Flip Turn when needed. Serperior or Gouging Fire can then come in and starting setting up once it is safe for them to do so.
