Summary

Summary
Pokeball Icon Thick Fat lowers damage recieved from Ice type moves.

Pokeball Icon Huge weight difference turns Heavy Slam into a 120 BP move!

Pokeball Icon Boost damage with Belly Drum and Screech!

The best ability for Snorlax in Tera Raid Battles is Thick Fat. This ability allows Snorlax to tank Iron Bundle's Ice type moves giving it resistances other Normal type Pokemon don't have access to.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Snorlax with a Steel Tera Type to deal more damage with Heavy Slam. This build can generally beat down any Pokemon barring Pokemon whose weight are close to Snorlax's. As a Physical attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards making Snorlax a stronger physical attacker so it can provide heavier damage. Max out your Sp.Def and HP EVs , while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Give it a Shell Bell to recover HP when dealing damage.

Tera Raid Strategy

Snorlax Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Screech to shred the opponent's Defense.
Turn 4 Use Belly Drum to max out your Attack stat.
Turns 5~7 Use Heavy Slam to deal damage and build Tera Orb charge.
Buffs and Debuffs Clear Feel free to use Screech and Belly Drum if needed.
Turn 8 Terastallize and keep using Body Slam to deal damage.
Optional Use Amnesia to boost your Sp.Def as needed so you can survive Iron Bundle's onslaught of attacks.

Snorlax is currently one of few Pokemon available that has access to both Screech and Belly Drum. This makes it a premiere attacker in Tera Raids even if it just uses Normal type attacks.

With Snorlax capitalizing its powerful attack stat and a Steel tera type, the best moves to attack with is Heavy Slam. This move is super effective against the Raid Iron Bundle while also turning into a 120 BP Move thanks to their weight difference.

The best ability for Snorlax in Tera Raid Battles is Thick Fat. This ability allows Snorlax to tank Fire and Ice type moves giving it resistances other Normal type Pokemon don't have access to.

We also recommend getting a Snorlax with a Normal Tera Type to deal more damage with Body Slam and Giga Impact. This build can generally beat down any Pokemon barring Steel, Rock, and Ghost type Pokemon. As a Physical attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards making Snorlax a stronger physical attacker so it can provide heavier damage. Max out your Attack and HP EVs , while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. The Leftovers Item allows Garchomp to heal 1/16th of its HP every turn. Give it a Shell Bell to recover HP when dealing damage.

Tera Raid Strategy

Snorlax Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Screech to shred the opponent's Defense.
Turn 4 Use Belly Drum to max out your Attack stat.
Turns 5~7 Use Body Slam to deal damage and hopefully Paralyze the Tera Raid Boss.
Buffs and Debuffs Clear Feel free to use Screech and Belly Drum if needed.
Turn 8 Terastallize and keep using Body Slam to deal damage. Once the Raid Boss' shield breaks, you can use Giga Impact to quicky finish it off.
Low HP Turns Use Body Slam to heal off damage with your Shell Bell. You can also use a Heal Up! cheer.

Snorlax is currently the only Pokemon available that has access to both Screech and Belly Drum. This makes it a premiere attacker in Tera Raids even if it just uses Normal type attacks.

With Snorlax capitalizing its powerful attack stat and a Normal tera type, the best moves to attack with are Body Slam as your usual attacking move and Giga Impact to finish off the raid boss once its shield is down.

This Snorlax Tera Raid Build is best used against Tera Raid Bosses that have super weak Defense stats. If the Tera Raid Boss is a Rock, Steel or Ghost Type, consider a different build, as Snorlax will be highly ineffective to these Types as a Normal-Type attacker.
