Team's Strengths | Champion's Pokemon |
Gyarados | Iron Hands | Ting-Lu |
Chi-Yu | Flutter Mane | Amoonguss |
Gyarados |
Ting-Lu |
Gyarados and Ting-Lu are defensive leads that can survive loads of punishment thanks to their Abiliities. Gyarados' Intimidate lowers the opposing side's physical attack, while Ting-Lu's Vessel of Ruin reduces Special Attack. These two Abilities in combination make for a very sturdy defensive duo.
Chi-Yu |
Flutter Mane |
Chi-Yu and Flutter Mane are a powerful, offensive, Special Attacking duo that are difficult to go up against if the opposing team is unprepared. Booster Energy Flutter Mane can outspeed most threats, while Choice Specs Chi-Yu can melt away opposing teams with its powerful Beads of Ruin-boosted Heat Waves.
Amoonguss |
Iron Hands |
Amoonguss and Iron Hands are strong Pokemon in the back of this team, as they can both switch in for their teammates. They also make up for a solid and difficult-to-KO late-game tandem.
Competitive Team Building for Doubles Ranked Battle
Paul Chua's team can pivot between offense and defense, with good defensive synergy between Pokemon that allow for defensive switches, as well as strong defensive and offensive Abiliites in Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu's Ruinous Abilities.
