To clear the Medali Gym Test, you need to order the Secret Menu item from the waiter in the Treasure Eater restaurant. The order is as follows: Grilled Rice Balls, Medium, Fire Blast, and Lemon.
You need to defeat three trainers and locate clues around Medali to know what the dish is, but you can opt to skip right ahead to the Gym Battle if you choose the right options.
1 | Talk to the Gym Staff to get your clue. This Gym Test requires you to order a secret dish in Medali's Treasure Eatery restaurant. There are four orders that you need to mention later on and you will be tasked to find out about the three other clues. |
---|---|
2 | Battle trainers to get other clues about the dish. Other trainers will be dispersed around Medali and you need to find and defeat them in battle so they can share their clues. |
3 | Find and gather clues about the order around Medali. After defeating the trainers, they will mention vague locations where the clues are located. These are located around Medali. |
4 | Head back to Treasure Eatery and order the secret menu dish. After getting all the clues, head back to the restaurant and talk to the waiter near the entrance to order the secret dish. |
This Gym Test requires you to gather clues from other trainers who are also taking the challenge by defeating them in Pokemon battles. The clues themselves pertain to things certain other NPCs around Medali will tell you.
Clue | Location | Secret Order Answer |
---|---|---|
Odd one out in the ice cream stand | At the list of items sold by ice cream vendors northeast of the restaurant | Grilled Rice Ball |
Dark spot surrounded by stairs | At the amphitheater at the west side of Medali | Fire Blast |
Blue bird Pokemon | From a Cabbie with a Squawkabilly near Artisan Bakery | Medium |
How regulars season their dishes | From the man (Larry) at the counter in the restaurant | Lemon |
You can find the trainers who are also partaking in the Gym Test in the following locations:
Trainer | Location |
---|---|
Trainer 1 | In front of the restaurant |
Trainer 2 | Beside the Gym building |
Trainer 3 | Near the sandwich and canned food shop |
If you don't want to walk around Medali, battle trainers, and look for clues, you can immediately face the Gym Leader if you can correctly order the Secret Menu dish from the waiter inside the restaurant.
Do note that you will miss out on experience points and money from winning trainer battles if you skip them entirely.
After Passing the Gym test, you may challenge Larry, the Medali Normal Gym Leader.
