Booster Energy |
The best ability for Iron Moth is Quark Drive. This ability allows the Pokemon's highest stat is boosted by 30% if the stat is Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense or 50% if the stat is Speed if an Electric Terrain is active.
We also recommend getting an Iron Moth with a Poison Tera Type as it only has two weaknesses and resists 5 types. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's Special Attack and HP. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Equip the Pokemon with a Booster Energy to immediately activate the ability's effect without the need of an Electric Terrain active on the field.
At the start of the battle, use Metal Sound or Acid Spray to lower the raid Pokemon's Special Defense by two stages and use either Fiery Dance or Sludge Wave to reduce its health. Keep in mind that Acid Spray will not work against Steel types, which is why Metal Sound could be a better option. If you need to recover your HP, use Morning Sun.

Wait why not acid spray? The only problem I see to not use it is against steel types. I don't see anything wrong with the move so why metal sound?
