Pokemon SV The Indigo Disk DLC - Terapagos Types

Terapagos is a Normal-type, which makes it weak to Fighting-type moves.

During the final battle in Area Zero, you will notice Terapagos will change its type every time its shield breaks to a Psychic-type when at 70% HP, and to a Water-type when it's at 40% HP.

Use Bug,Ghost, or Dark moves for when Terapagos becomes a Psychic-type, and Grass or Electric when it becomes a Water-type.

Stellar Form Terapagos Boss Guide

Terapagos Abilities

Terapagos has access to different Abilities depending on its form.

Normal Form Terapagos has Tera Shift, which lets it tranform into its Terastal Form when sent out in battle.

While in its Terastal Form, it will have Tera Shell, which will make any damaging move it receives when its health is full not effective.

Once it Terastallizes and transforms into its Stellar Form, Terapagos will have Teraform Zero, which nullifies weather and terrain effects.

Ability Name Description
Tera Shift When Terapagos enters a battle, it transforms into its Terastal Form.
Tera Shell All damage-dealing moves that hit the Pokémon when its HP is full will not be very effective.
Teraform Zero When Terapagos changes into its Stellar Form, it eliminates all effects of weather and terrain.

Signature Move: Tera Starstorm

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Tera Starstorm

Effect When used by Terapagos in its Stellar Form, the attack hits both opposing Pokemon.
Type Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Normal Type Moves Category Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Special Moves
Power 120 Accuracy 100
PP (Max PP) 5 (8) Target All opponents
Priority 0 Contact? TBD

Tera Startstorm is Terapagos' signature move. When Terapagos is in its Stellar Form, the move will hit both opposing targets in Doubles battles.

Additionally, while used in its Stellar Form, Tera Starstorm will have a Stellar Type, which makes it super-effective against Terastallized targets regardless of their types. It the target is not Terastallized, it will still deal neutral damage to all types, including against Rock, Steel, and Ghost-type Pokemon even if the move is originally a Normal-type!

Terapagos Evolution

Terapagos Evolution Line
Terapagos ImageTerapagos
There are no known evolutions for this Pokemon.

Terapagos does not have any evolutions. It can only change forms with its abilities, such as Tera Shift and Teraform Zero.

How to Change Terapagos Forms

Changes into Terastal Form When Sent Out in Battle

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Terapagos Terastal Form

When Terapagos is sent out, it will automatically turn into its Terastal form, activating its second ability, Tera Shell. This allows Terapagos to turn any attack into a not-very effective move when its at full HP.

Changes into Stellar Form When Terastallized

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Terapagos Stellar Form

Just like Ogerpon, Terapagos cannot change its Tera Type and only has access to the Stellar Tera Type. Its signature move Tera Starstorm will always deal super-effective damage against Terastallized Pokemon.

After it Terastalizes, it will further activate its third ability, Teraform Zero and can remove all Terrain and weather effects from the field. Stellar Form Terapagos also has a total base stat of 700, with high defensive stats and a bulky 160 HP stat, which makes it a formidable Pokemon to use in battles!
