In previous Pokemon games, you still needed a Move Tutor to teach your Pokemon different moves. But they're no longer needed in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)! Read on to learn what has replaced Move Tutors, and how to teach new and old moves to your Pokemon.
List of Contents
There is no longer a Move Tutor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, unlike in previous Pokemon games.
Instead, you can teach your Pokemon new moves or make them remember old ones through the Moves tab in a Pokemon's "Summary" menu.
Simply select your Pokemon, go to the Moves tab, and press the A Button to bring up options related to Moves.

In previous Pokemon games, a Move Tutor was an NPC that would teach your Pokemon new moves in exchange for certain items. To teach new moves to multiple Pokemon, players would have to grind for these items and bring them to Move Tutors.
There were also Move Reminders. These were NPCs that would make your Pokemon remember any moves they've already learned in exchange for items called Heart Scales. Heart Scales were also items that players had to grind for to make their Pokemon remember old moves.
