How to Access the Epilogue in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Complete Story Requirements

In order to unlock the epilogue Mochi Mayhem, you need to complete the main story of the Scarlet and Violet base game, The Teal Mask DLC, and The Indigo Disk DLC.

You also need to beat the Academy Ace Tournament in the base game at least once. This is a post-game feature that you can unlock after completing rematches against the Paldea Gym Leaders.

How to Start Mochi Mayhem DLC Epilogue

Get the Mythical Pecha Berry and Go to Kitakami

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Epilogue - Pink Object at Peachy

Obtain the Mythical Pecha Berry Mystery Gift through the Get via Internet option.

Once it's in you're inventory, interact with the pink object at Peachy's Store in Mossui Town, Kitakami. This should trigger the events of the epilogue.

Catch Up with Friends

# Step by Step Objectives

Travel to your House in Cabo Poco
As you approach your house, you discover that Arven has brought Nemona and Penny.

Approach your friends in your front yard to start a cutscene.

Meet Up at Mesagoza's South Gate
You agree with your friends to meet outside Mesagoza to prepare for the trip.

Fast travel to Mesagoza (South) and approach your friends to start a cutscene. This will also initiate your journey to Kitakami.

Meet Up with Kieran at his House
As you finish talking to the Caretaker in Mossui's community center, walk by Kieran's House to meet up with him and start a cutscene.

Go to the Front of the Community Center
Nemona has challenged Kieran to a battle. Go back to the community center to check on the results of the battle.

Talk to either Kieran or Nemona to start the next cutscene.

Go Back to the Community Center
Kieran wants to have a proper welcome party at the community center.

Go back and enter the community center to start another cutscene.

Find the TV Remote!
You and your friends decide to find the TV remote as the first activity of the welcome party.

You can find the TV remote in the planter on the right side of the building. Press the A button on the planter to continue on the story.

Find Nemona
Follow Kieran outside of the community center to start the search for Nemona.

Talk to the Nearby Villagers
Talk to the villagers outside the community center.

These villagers will then challenge you to a battle against you and Kieran.

Follow Nemona
You notice Nemona running towards Kitakami Hall. Follow her towards Kitakami Hall.

Talk to Kieran's grandparents at the bottom of the stairs to Kitakami Hall to ask them about Nemona. They'll shortly get possessed by the mochi curse and challenge you to a battle!

Head Over to Peachy's
Go back to Peachy's in Mossui Town to check up on Arven and Penny.

A mysterious Pokemon has cursed Arven and Penny.

After the battle, Kieran runs off to chase down the mysterious Pokemon.

Follow them to Loyalty Plaza to proceed to another cutscene.

The mysterious Pokemon has taken control of Nemona. Talk to Nemona to accept her challenge to a singles battle.

With the mystery solved and a couple of days hanging out with your friends in Kitakami, travel back to Paldea to end your adventure and the Epilogue to The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC.

You can also save right before fighting Pecharunt so you can reroll for a 0 Attack IV in its stats. This is great for battles since it is highly susceptible to a super-effective Foul Play that uses its own Attack stat against it.

Around 1-2 hours in Length

Playing through the Epilogue of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC will take around an hour, given that you have a good team of Pokemon well-suited for the story battles.

All the story battles are around levels 84-86, so bring a properly trained team to finish the Epilogue quickly and easily. There is no extra traveling or adventuring in the Epilogue, as all quest locations are near fast-travel points.

This epilogue serves as the story for Pecharunt, which is the only new Pokemon that you will encounter.

There are no other new Pokemon added within the Epilogue, and there will be no returning Legendary or Mythical Pokemon making an appearance during the story.
