How to Win Porto Marinada Auctions

Start of an Auction - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

Porto Marinada is home to an auction market where you can snag the hottest deals with your master bidding skills! Read on to see our tips on winning auctions, how to get the products you want, and what items are in store for bidders like you!

How to Win Porto Marinada Auctions

Find the Minimum Winning Bid

Winning an Auction - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

During an auction, there will always be a minimum winning bid the player must reach if they want to win.

However, finding this minimum bid can be tricky because it only applies to the player. If one of the two NPC buyers bows out of the auction and the player hasn't made a bid yet, the other NPC will win.

If you lose the auction or pay too much for the item, we recommend save scumming so you can work out the minimum winning bid price and get the item as cheaply as possible.

Some bids start high

Several auctions will feature rare items that you won't be able to easily get in normal methods, and the bidding price will start high. For example, Apriballs are offered at the starting bid of ₽100,000.

Naturally, this can get even higher as other NPCs will vie to get the item, blowing up the bid. It is best toi prep you wallet if you are planning to participate at highly-priced auctions!

Money Farming Guide: How to Make Money Fast

Always Make Other Buyers Bid Lower than Minimum Winning Bid

Skipping a Bid - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

To get an auction item as cheaply as you can always make sure other buyers bid ₽500 or ₽1,000 lower than the minimum winning bid.

This entails a mix of bidding conservatively, and using the "I'll pass for now" option to make sure you don't end up raising the final winning bid price too much. Except at the start of an auction, you can increase your bid by ₽500 or ₽1,000, which can amp up the auction price very quickly if you're not careful.

Don't use the "I'll pass for now" option too much, however, as the items might go to an NPC instead.

you need to reset the game. The guide should read "repeat steps 2-4" not "3 and 4." Personally, I like to set to yesterday, save, turn the online date back on, and just reset without saving. Each time the game loads, it rerolls like it's the first time you've logged in. What this house completely neglects to tell you is that most of the auction's listings are nearly ALWAYS bad. Premier balls, Apriballs, feathers and berries are really the only worthwhile options.
