Summary

Pokeball IconAmazing synergy between Solar Beam, Growth, and Chlorophyll

Pokeball IconBoost your damage with Acid Spray and Growth

The best ability for Vileplume in Tera Raid Battles is Chlorophyll. You can boost your Speed under Sun which is a nice bonus while you set up with Growth and Acid Spray.

This build focuses on setting up Sunny Day to quickly get Special Attack boosts from Growth. You then attack the Raid Boss with a devastating Solar Beam to immediately end the battle.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Vileplume with a Grass Tera Type to make its Grass-type moves more powerful. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Sp.Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.

Tera Raid Strategy

Vileplume Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Acid Spray to lower the Raid Boss' Sp.Def and build up Tera Orb charge.
Turn 4 Use Sunny Day to get Sun up.
Turns 5~7 Use Growth to max out your Sp. Atk.
Turns 8+ Terastallize and use Solar Beam repeatedly to attack. Refresh your buffs and weather if needed.

Start the battle by shredding the Raid Boss' Sp. Def using Acid Spray while also building up Tera Orb charges in the process. Afterwards, set up Sun with Sunny Day so you can quickly buff your Sp. Atk with Growth.

Once you have enough Tera Orb charges, Terastallize and use Solar Beam to deal substantial damage to the Raid Boss.

Summary

Pokeball IconDecent recovery option with Synthesis

Pokeball IconBoost your damage with Acid Spray

Pokeball IconDouble the power of Venoshock thanks to Sludge Bomb's increased chance to Poison

The best ability for Vileplume in Tera Raid Battles is Chlorophyll. While not having much use in Solo Raids, it's a good option in Co-Op when you have allies that like to set up Sun like Groudon or Koraidon.

This build focuses on debilitating Raid Bosses with Acid Spray to lower their Special Defense. Then, you can dish out decent damage with Sludge Bomb or Venoshock once you Poison them.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Vileplume with a Poison Tera Type to make its Poison-type moves more powerful. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.
