Leftovers |
This set boosts its stats to deal massive damage with Stored Power, Iron Defense and Nasty Plot both boost Defense and Special Attack respectively by two stages. With 6 stages worth of boosts, the move's base power goes up dramatically to 260.
Psychic Terrain can be used to further boost the damage of Stored Power. Leftovers gives it additional recovery while supporting teammates.
We also recommend getting a Slowking with a Psychic Tera Type to further boost its offensive power. Since this Slowking functions as a bulky attacker, a Modest Nature is best to boost its Sp.Defense.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense, investing heavily into Special Attack to deal maximum damage. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp.Def.
Bulky Attacker Turn-by-Turn Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1~3 | Use Iron Defense to boost Slowking's Defense. Do this three times. |
Turns 4~6 | Use Nasty Plot three times to max out Slowking's Special Attack. |
Optional | Use Psychic Terrain to boost Stored Power's damage. |
Turns 9+ | Use Stored Power before the raid boss can nullify your stat buffs or before it sets up its shield. |
Begin by using Iron Sp.Defense three times to maximize Slowking's Sp.Defense, followed by Nasty Plot three times to maximize its Special Attack. After getting your stat boosts, you can use Psychic Terrain to further boost the damage of Stored Power.
Once you complete your setup, use Stored Power to damage the raid boss and knock it out.

Shell Bell |
The best Ability for Slowking in Tera Raid Battles is Oblivious, which gives it an immunity to infatuation, Intimidate, and Taunt.
We also recommend getting a Slowking with a Water Tera Type to retain its resistance to Fire-type moves, while also removing its Dark-type weakness. Since this Slowking is a physically defensive support, a Bold nature is best to boost its Sp.Defense.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards physical bulk to withstand physical attacks. Max out your HP and Sp.Defense EVs, while adding the remaining EVS into Special Attack. Shell Bell gives Slowking some recovery while it deals damage.
Bulky Support Turn-by-Turn Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1~2 | Use Chilling Water to lower the raid boss' Attack stat. On the next turn, use Yawn to put it to sleep on the suceeding turn. (Only use Yawn while the Tera Shields are down, otherwise it will have no effect!) |
Turns 3~4 | Use Helping Hand to help allies deal higher damage, and recover lost health with Slack Off. |
Turns 5+ | Terastallize into a Water-type and use Chilling Water to damage the raid boss' shields. |
Start the raid by using Chilling Water to lower the raid boss' Attack stat, and then use Yawn to put it to sleep on the third turn. Once the raid boss is incapacitated, use Psychic to deal STAB damage to it while also recovering lost health with Slack Off. Once you have enough tera charge, terastallize into a Water-type and use boosted Chilling Water to break its shields.

While Slowpoke is a fairly common Pokemon found in most lakes around Paldea, the best place to catch it is in Casseroya Lake since Slowpoke caught here are higher level and thus easier to level up to 100.
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
Slowking evolves from Slowpoke when traded while holding King's Rock. You can purchase this item from the Delibird Presents in Mesagoza for ₽10,000 and is available once you get 4 Gym Badges.
King's Rock Location and How to Get
Slowpoke caught in the wild will always have either Water or Psychic Tera Type. If the Slowking build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
If it has a different nature, you can use Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
If its ability is different from our recommendation, you can use an Ability Capsule to change it.
This item can be bought at Chansey Supply shops for ₽100,000.
Ability Capsule Location and How to Get
If the build you are following requires it to have its Hidden Ability, you can use an Ability Patch to give Slowking its Hidden Ability.
Ability Patch Location and How to Get
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp.Atk), and 1 Zinc (for Sp.Def). All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.
