Talonflame is great for offensive teams because of its ability to set up Tailwind for its team. Gale Wings gives it added Priority, making it a very strong choice at the start of a match.

Use Talonflame's Speed to your advantage by making sure it gets to attack enough times before it gets KOd.

How to Build a Team with Talonflame

Fast Offensive Pokemon benefit greatly from Talonflame's Tailwind support which allows them to be even faster. This is especially useful for avoiding Speed ties. Talonflame can also use Priority Brave Bird if it does not take damage the previous turn, which is especially useful for taking out threats.

Because Talonflame's defenses are frail, defensive switch-ins are good to have.
