High Base Special Attack allows it to deal damage despite middling Speed. Charge and Charge Beam can boost Thunderbolt further. Levitate and Electric Tera typing grants it zero weaknesses. |
The best ability for Vikavolt in Tera Raid Battles is Levitate. After Terastallizing into a pure Electric-type, Levitate makes it so that Vikavolt does not have any weakness.
We also recommend getting a Vikavolt with a Electric Tera Type because its synergy with Levitate is perfect defensively. As a Special Attacker, Modest nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. Give it Shell Bell to help Vikavolt recover HP when it attacks.
Vikavolt Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Optional | Use Thunder Wave to paralyze the Raid Pokemon. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Charge Beam three times to boost Sp. Atk. |
Turns 5+ | Terastallize and alternate between Charge and Thunderbolt to deal massive damage against the raid Pokemon. |
Start Tera Raid battles by using Charge Beam three times for a chance to increase your Sp. Atk, while also building Tera Orb Charge, or by using Thunder Wave to paralyze the Raid Pokemon..
With enough Tera Orb Charge, Terastallize into a pure Electric-type, and alternate between Charge and Thunderbolt to deal damage, and finish the raid.

This Vikavolt Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Water, and Flying Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss has a Ground Tera Type, perhaps consider a different build, as it will be immune to Vikavolt's Electric-Type attacks.

How to Make Best Vikavolt Tera Raid Build |

|
You can catch a Charjabug with a Electric Tera Type from Kitakami.
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
If it has a different nature, you can use Modest Mint to change its nature to Modest.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature
EV train Vikavolt according to the build's EV spread using Vitamins, Mochis, or the traditional way with Power Items and battling Pokemon with the right EV yield.
Vitamins can be bought at any Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 to fully train a Pokemon. Meanwhile, Mochi can be obtained through the Ogre Oustin' Minigame.
If you have the money for it, you can just use 26 HP Up, 26 Calcium, and an Iron or 26 Health Mochi, 26 Genius Mochi, and a Resist Mochi.
Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.

A Bottle Cap can be bought at the Delibird Presents shops for ₽20,000 after getting 6 Gym Badges. 1 Bottle Cap is needed for each stat that will be maxed out.
Hyper Training: How to Increase IVs
Next, level it up to 100 to maximize its stats. The easiest way to do this is by farming Exp candies from Tera Raid Battles.

Does Levitate and Electric Terrain even work together? Levitate: renders the Pokémon with this Ability immune to damaging Ground-type moves (except Thousand Arrows). It also is unaffected by the effects of Arena Trap, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller, and terrain.
