Leftovers |
The best ability for Umbreon in Tera Raid Battles is Synchronize. This ability affects any opponent with the same status effects inflicted upon them. This can be especially helpful in raids when you're affected by things like Sleep or Poison!
As a Support Build, a Calm nature would be best. Though this Umbreon has a Ghost Tera Type, you can run this build with other Tera Types as well.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a good defense to help you withstand enemy attacks better. Max out your HP and Sp. Defense EVs, while giving a boost to your Defense. Leftovers allows it to take more hits by healing it slowly throughout every battle!
Start out a Tera Raid Battle with Screech to lower your opponent's Defense by two stages or Helping Hand to help increase your allies attack by 50%, before using Yawn to put enemies to sleep. You can also use Fake Tears to lower the Sp. Def of Raid Pokemon for your Special Attackers!

if you're only using umbreon as support then its tera type is irrelevant. you need to hit three damaging moves before you can terastalysz to begin with, so if its moveset is entirely support based you'll be wasting tera shards making it a ghost type as it'll never terastalyze. and if youre splitting your time between support + using dark pulse, any damage a fighting type pokemon could do would have caused you to lose the tera raid prior to unlocking terastalization during the raid anyway

An update on this Tera strat would be nice. It’s silly to build him with any thoughts on Tera type when attack moves are the only way to activate the Tera orb. Umbreon is easily run as a def tank instead of a sp def tank too. I would run Assurance or foul play in place of ability swap as they pair better with screech and ability swap rarely helps me. Dark Tera to boost atk for sp def Umbreon. Ghost Tera for ph def Umbreon. Also Taunt gets more use than yawn for me.
