The best ability for Brute Bonnet in Tera Raid Battles is Protosynthesis, as it is the only Ability it can have.
We also recommend getting a Brute Bonnet with a Grass Tera Type because this will boost Brute Bonnet's STAB Seed Bombs when it Terastallizes. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and with dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense.
Growth Brute Bonnet Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Sunny Day to boost the effects of Growth. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Growth to raise your Atk and Sp. Atk stat to +6. |
Turn 5 | Use Grassy Terrain to boost Seed Bomb's damage and set up passive healing. |
Turns 6~8 | Use Seed Bomb to deal damage and gain Tera Orb Charge |
Turns 9+ | Terastallize and use Seed Bomb to deal stat-boosted damage. Use Sunny Day and Growth again as needed. |
Start the Tera Raid battle by using Sunny Day to boost the effects of Growth.
Set up with Grassy Terrain, and use Seed Bomb to gain enough Tera Orb Charge.
Use Seed Bomb after Terastallizing to deal super effective damage. Use Growth again if the Raid Pokemon removes your stat changes, preferrably during Harsh Sunlight to further increase Brute Bonnet's Attack stat.

This Brute Bonnet Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Ground, Rock, and Water Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fire, Bug, or Flying Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Brute Bonnet will be weak to these Types as a Grass/Dark Type attacker.
