Light Clay |
The best ability for Sableye in Tera Raid Battles is Prankster. This move increases the Speed priority of status moves by 1. Moves affected by this ability are ineffective against Dark-type opponents.
We also recommend getting a Sableye with a Dark Tera Type because of its immunity to Psychic. As a Support Pokemon, an Impish nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky defense to help with survivability and support your team longer in the field. Max out your Defense and HP EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. The Light Clay would make Reflect and Light Screen linger longer in the field; decreasing damage taken from the opposing Pokemon.

Buffer | Help out your allies with Helping Hand so they can dish out more damage! |
Screen Setter | Help the team's overall bulk by setting up a priority Light Screen. |
In this Build, Sableye functions as purely a support Pokemon. Start off the raid by setting up a Light Screen or Reflect to raise the team's overall bulk against the Raid Boss' attacks. You can then support your allies with Helping Hand or "Go All Out!" cheers to raise their damage
If you run low on HP you can reliably use Recover as Prankster will allow Sableye to move before the raid boss can attack.

Bright Powder |
With its amazing typing making it the perfect Reflect Type target, Sableye is an amazing support especially if you're planning on hosting raids.
Prankster is the best ability for Sableye as it will alllow it to pull off a Light Screen or Reflect before a Special Attacking Raid Boss can attack.
We also recommend getting Sableye with a Dark Tera Type but it doesn't really matter as you will be focusing as a support for the team. If you do wish to terastallize, Dark is the best option so you will still be immune to Psyshock as this build has little to no Defense investment.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid Support EV spreads should lean towards bulk. Max out your HP and Special Defense EVs, while allocating the rest into Defense. Give Sableye a Bright Powder in order for the Raid Boss' attacks to miss more often.

Screen Setter | Help the team's overall bulk by setting up a priority Light Screen. |
Reflect Type Target | Make your ally Mews Dark/Ghost types by letting them use Reflect Type on Sableye! |
In this Build, Sableye functions as purely a support Pokemon. Start off the raid by setting up a Light Screen or Reflect to raise the team's overall bulk against the Raid Boss' devastating Special Attacks.
After Light Screen is set up, you can start using Mud-Slap to drop its accuracy. When the Raid Boss' accuracy can longer be dropped, start using Snarl to debilitate its damage output.
When the Raid Boss has been sufficiently debuffed, and your attacker is ready to Terastalize and attack, use Helping Hand to maximize your allies' damage.

We also recommend getting a Sableye with a Ghost Tera Type to boost the power of Hex. As a Special Attacker, a Modest Nature would be best to ensure it hits as hard as possible with its special moves.

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Give it a Shell Bell to help Typhlosion recover HP when it attacks.
Sableye Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Hex to deal damage and build up Tera Orb Charge. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Nasty Plot three times to give Sableye +6 Sp.Atk. Note: Make sure to setup Calm Mind after the tera raid boss resets stats. |
Turns 5 | Use Thunder Wave to inflict Paralyze. Note: Make sure to Paralyze the Tera Raid boss before it sets up a shield. |
Low HP Turns | Use Recover to heal yourself, you will always go before the Rais Boss due to Prankster. |
Turn 6+ | Once you have enough Tera Orb charge, terastallize into a Ghost-type and use Hex to deal boosted damage to the boss' shield and finish the raid. |
Start the Tera Raid by using Shadow Ball to deal damage and build up Tera Orb Charge. Then, use Nasty Plot three times to boost Sableye's Sp.Atk and Sp.Defense.
Use Thunder Wave to inflict Paralyze on the Raid boss. Make sure to use this move before it sets up a shield.
Once you have enough Tera Orb charge, terastallize into a Ghost-type and deal boosted damage with Hex which will have 130 Base Power when the boss is inflicted with a status condition.

This Sableye Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Ghost and Psychic Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Fairy Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Sableye will be weak to this Type.
