Patch 1.3.2 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) was released on June 28, 2023 and will adjust mechanics for upcoming live tournaments. Read on to learn when this patch will release and the issues it will address.

Patch Update on June 28

Will Adjust Mechanics for Upcoming Live Tournaments

Released in June 28, 2023, a new patch update was released for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to adjust game mechanics in preparation for upcoming live tournaments. The most notable upcoming live tournament is the Pokemon VGC World Championships, Yokohama, held from August 11~13.

Illuminate Ability Updated

Pokemon SV - Illuminate Ability Update

The Ability, Illuminate has been updated to prevent Accuracy loss instead of its previous effect of lowering encounter rates. This might be due to the fact that the random encounter mechanic from previous games has been removed.

Strangely enough, no Pokemon currently available in the game are able to have this Ability. This could mean a Pokemon with said Ability could make it into the DLC.

No Other Fixes or Updates Disclosed

No Fix for Hisuian Moves

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Hisuian Move No Update

Since this patch was announced to adjust mechanics for upcoming live tournaments, this patch update strangely has not updated the Hisuian Move's descriptions to match their in-game effects.

With Regulation D coming close, it is currently unknown when the move's descriptions will be updated. Stay tuned to learn when these move's descriptions will update to match the current in-game effects!
