Pokeball IconLava Plume has a 30% chance to burn making it an amazing counter for the Raid Boss.

Pokeball IconCan remove buffs from the Raid Boss using Clear Smog.

The best ability for Armarouge in Tera Raid Battles is Flash Fire. This ability is easier to obtain as its Hidden Ability, Weak Armor, will be dangerous to run in this Raid.

Thanks to it Psychic and Fire typing, Armarouge is an amazing choice for this raid thanks to its high Sp. Atk and access to the move Acid Spray. Combined with Clear Smog, you can easily pivot into a support role while still doing decent damage with Lava Plume.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Armarouge with a Fire Tera Type to make its Fire-type moves more powerful. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's Defense and Sp.Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.

Tera Raid Strategy

Armarouge Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Reflect to lower the Raid Boss' damage output.
Decidueye Buffs Itself Use Clear Smog to remove the Raid Boss' buffs.
Turns 2~4 Use Acid Spray to shred the opponent's Sp. Def.
Turns 5+ Use Lava Plume to attack. Terastallize when you are able to.

Start the battle by using Reflect to lower the Raid Boss's damage output. Follow it up with Clear Smog so you can clear any buffs it might have raised.

You can then shred the Raid Boss' Sp. Def using Acid Spray while also building up Tera Orb charges in the process.

Once you have enough Tera Orb charges, Terastallize and use Lava Plume. Thanks to its raised chance to Burn, this will further lower Hisuian decidueye's damage output.

Summary

Armarouge stands out among other choices due to it being immune to Fire-type moves due to its ability, Flash Fire, making it an amazing pick for this Tera Raid! With access to Acid Spray and Flash Cannon, it can dish out a good amount of damage due to its amazing Special Attack stat while also resisting anything the Raid Boss can throw at it.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Armarouge with a Steel Tera Type to make Flash Cannon more powerful. This also helps with resisting Psychic and Fairy type moves while still being immune to Fire-Type moves due to Flash Fire. As a special attacker, a Modest nature would be best.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Sp.Atk stats. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Equip the Pokemon with Shell Bell to regain HP when using damaging moves.

Tera Raid Strategy

Armarouge Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Acid Spray to shred the Tera Raid boss' Sp.Def and to build your Tera Orb charge.
Optional Use Calm Mind raise your Sp. Atk and Sp. Def. You can also use Use the cheer Heal Up! to heal up any damage sustained.
Turns 4~5 The Raid Boss will most likely take Tera Orb charges away from you, so just attack with Flash Cannon until you build them back up again.
Turns 6~8 Terastallize and keep using Flash Cannon to whittle the Tera Raid Boss' HP.
Turn 9+ Keep using Flash Cannon to finish the raid.

Start the raid by using Acid Spray a three times to reduce the opponent's special defense and build Tera Orb charges. It will then take Tera Orb charges from you so just hit it with Flash Cannon until you get your Tera Orb charges.

You can also use Calm Mind to buff your Sp. Atk and Sp. Def. Try not to get too greedy as the opponent may reset stats. Once it uses Nasty Plot, set up a Light Screen or use Mystical Fire to make sure you can take the Raid Boss's moves.

Armarouge's main attacking move for this will be Flash Cannon, use this move to also heal yourself with your Shell Bell. After terastallizing keep using Flash Cannon until you win.

Summary

This build seeks to synergize Armarouge with Florges, Mimikyu, and Oranguru to set it up and one-shot the raid boss. The strategy revolves around giving Armarouge several stat boosts and deal massive damage with Stored Power after the setup.

Letting Armarouge have Weak Armor will help it get more stat boosts when it is attacked by Mimikyu and Oranguru.

EV Spread Explanation: Bulky Offense

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and with dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. Having Armarouge hold Weakness Policy help it raise its Special Attack stat when it is hit by a Dark-type move by its allies.

Tera Raid Strategy

Tera Raid One-Shot Strategy
#1 Oranguru attacks Armarouge with Foul Play, activating Weak Armor and its Weakness Policy.
#2 Florges' Symbiosis will activate, and transfer a second Weakness Policy to Armarouge. Have Florges use Helping Hand on Armarouge.
#3 Mimikyu uses Fling to force Armarouge to consume a Petaya Berry, use its second Weakness Policy, and activate Weak Armor again.
#4 Oranguru's Symbiosis will activate and give Armarouge Choice Specs.
#5 Have Armarouge use Stored Power to one-shot the Raid boss.

As the Armarouge user, all you have to do is receive stat boosts from your allies and wait for the set up to be finished. Once everything is set, use Stored Power to eliminate the opponent under a single turn.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting an Armarouge with a Psychic Tera Type to further increase the damage of Stored Power. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would work best for this Pokemon.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards increasing the Pokemon's HP and Attack. Max out these EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. Equip the Pokemon with Leftovers to regain your HP in between turns.

This Armarouge Tera Raid Build is an effective counter to Fighting and Poison Type Tera Raid Bosses. If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Dark, Ghost, Psychic or Steel Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Armarouge will be weak to these Types as a Psychic Type attacker.
Type Chart: All Matchups and Effectiveness

Tera Raid Strategy

Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Acid Spray three times to reduce the raid Pokemon's Sp. Def by 6 stages, while building your tera charge.
Turn 4~6 Use Calm Mind to boost your Sp. Atk and Sp. Def by 3 stages.
Turns 7 Use Psychic Terrain to increase Stored Power's Damage.
Turns 8+ Terastallize and use stat boosted, Psychic Terrain boosted, STAB Stored Power to deal massive damage against the energy shield. Use Psychic Terrain again as needed

Start the battle by using Acid Spray to bring the raid Pokemon's Sp. Def to its lowest possible value, allowing your teammates to deal good damage while you set up. Doing so also allows you to gain tera charge, since Acid Spray is a damage dealing move. Afterwards, use Calm Mind to increase your Sp. Atk and Sp. Defense, which will also boost Stored Power's base damage. Lastly, finish your setup by using Psychic Terrain to receive an additional 30% damage boost to Stored Power.

When against raid Pokemon that use Physical moves, you can opt to use Calm Mind only once or twice, since you will enjoy the Speed stat boosts from Weak Armor, which should be enough to increase the damage of Stored Power. With Stored Power's high damage output from the multiple stat boosts, the healing from Shell Bell should be enough to ensure your survival.

Best used for 6 and 7-Star Raids

Stored Power users are often great counters to powerful 6 and 7-Star Raid Bosses. Armarouge in particular has been a great counter to both 7-Star Cinderace and 7-Star Greninja in the past.

Summary

The best ability for Armarouge in Tera Raid Battles is Flash Fire. This Ability gives it immunity to Fire-type moves while also boosting the power of its own Fire-type moves by 50%.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting an Armarouge with a Fire Tera Type to further boost thhe power of its Fire-type STAB. Since it's a Special Attacker, a Modest nature is best to boost its offenses.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards a bulky offense to help with survivability and dealing as much damage as possible. Max out your HP and Special Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. Shell Bell allows it to recover some HP while still attacking.

Tera Raid Strategy

Turn-by-Turn Raid Strategy
Turn 1 Use Calm Mind to boost your offense and special bulk.
Optional Use Will-O-Wisp when facing a physical attacker to halve their attack.
(Only use Will-O-Wisp while the Tera Shields are down, otherwise it will have no effect!)
Turns 2~4 Use Psychic to deal STAB super-effective damage, or Armor Cannon if you have been hit by a Fire-type move for large neutral damage.
Turns 4+ Terastallize into a Fire-type and use boosted Armor Cannon.

Start the Tera Raid battle with Calm Mind to boost Armarouge's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, and then use Psychic. If you're facing a physical attacker, use Will-O-Wisp to cut their Attack in half.

Once you have enough charge to terastallize, focus on using Armor Cannon to deal increased damage.

Worked for me! Thankyou! I forgot to IV train and forgot my shell bell (I was too impatient and it was late at night) I battled with other armouages.. but they didn’t have the same strategy. I pretty much soloed!
