Unlock Requirements |
Complete the Main Story To gain access to 5-Star Raids, you need to finish the game's three storylines (Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends), as well as the The Way Home storyline. |
The 5-Star Tera Raid Event featuring Rayquaza with a Dragon Tera Type will begin on December 20, 2024 until January 06, 2025 spanning 16 days just like the Mewtwo Tera Raid!
Rayquaza will not have the Mightiest Mark and it can be caught once. However, participating in this event should net amazing rewards either way.

If you want to solo this Raid, try to look for NPC Allies with the Ability Intimidate. This is downright required as you need to lower Rayquaza's Attack because it will immediately use Dragon Ascent Turn 1.
The best allies in this situation would be Arcanine, Staraptor, and Paldean Tauros. The NPC Drifblim can also help out thanks to its Will-O-Wisp.
Try to find Eli's Gardevoir if you want an amazing sustain option. It will use Life Dew more often than not, saving you time in balancing your health while setting up.
Its Dazzling Gleam can also deal decent damage at the beginning of the raid when Rayquaza lowers its Sp.Def with Dragon Ascent.

Other Counters for 5-Star Rayquaza Raid | |||||||
The best counters for the Rayquaza Tera Raid are Magearna, Sylveon, Primarina, or Clefable! Magearna pairs extremely well with Intimidate users to buff itself with Soul-Heart and then debuff Rayquaza's damage.
Alternatively, Sylveon, Primarina, Florges, or Clefable is an easier to get option that can combo Calm Mind with Draining Kiss.
