Muscle Band |
The best ability for Tyranitar in Tera Raid Battles is Sand Stream which creates a Sandstorm for 5 Turns. This is especially useful against an enemy that is not a Rock, Ground, or Steel Type Pokemon as they will be damaged over the course of the 5 turns!
We also recommend getting a Tyranitar with a Rock Tera Type because it not only boosts their Rock type moves, but also provides a number of offensive advantages against many different types! As an Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards being able to take and deal hard hits! Max out your HP and Attack EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. The Muscle Band will help your Tyranitar hit harder by boosting the power of their Physical attacks!
To start battle, you can begin with Dragon Dance to boost your Attack and Speed, followed by Stone Edge or Crunch! When going against Pokemon weak to Ground type Moves, use Earthquake!

Tyranitar cannot be caught in the wild, so you'll need to evolve a Pupitar in order to acquire a Tyranitar!
Pupitar can be found in South Province (Area Six) inside the caves!
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that has False Swipe and can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.
Players who are playing Pokemon Violet will not be able to acquire a Larvitar or Pupitar in their version of the game, as they are exclusives. Instead, you can trade with Trainers who are playing the Scarlet Version of the game!
If it has a different nature, you can use an Adamant Mint to change its nature to Adamant.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
