This is a team that revolves around Sun and the Protosynthesis Ability, which three out of the four Pokemon on the team have. It also makes use of Pokemon newly introduced to Regulation F, Walking Wake and Gouging Fire, as well as old favorites like Flutter Mane, Iron Hands, Tornadus-I and Rillaboom.

・ Moonblast ・ Shadow Ball ・ Icy Wind |
Flutter Mane is a powerful and quick special attacker, and its effectiveness as a Special Attacker is undisputed.
With Tera Fairy and a Speed boost in Sun, Flutter Mane is sure to sweep through teams who do not have Fairy resists.

Flare Blitz
・ Stomping Tantrum ・ Dragon Dance ・ Burning Bulwark |
Gouging Fire is a physical attacker whose damage output is difficult to mitigate. It is immune to Will-O-Wisp thanks to its Fire typing, and Intimidate because of its held Clear Amulet.
Dragon Dance can punish turns where opponents would try to overpredict a Burning Bulwark
Gouging Fire Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 140 HP / 76 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Sp. Def / 36 Spe |

Iron Hands is a strong addition, with its standard kit of moves. Tera Fire is chosen for this team to protect Iron Hands from Will-O-Wisp or burn from opposing Gouging Fire.
Iron Hands Movesets and Best Builds

---|---|
EV Spread | 252 HP / 20 Atk / 84 Def / 140 Sp. Def / 12 Spe |

Held Item | Miracle Seed |
Moveset | ・
Grassy Glide
・ Wood Hammer ・ Knock Off ・ Fake Out |
Tera Grass Rillaboom is able to take knock outs from non-bulky Flutter Mane who may give Iron Hands and Walking Wake a difficult time. Knock Off is a great option for Eviolite Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Dusclops.
Rillaboom Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Bold (+Spe, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 164 HP / 172 Def / 20 Sp. Atk / 4 Sp. Def / 148 Spe |

・ Tailwind ・ Taunt ・ Sunny Day |
Bulky Tornadus makes an appearance in this team, lending its valuable support. It can set up Sunny Day for the team's Protosynthesis Pokemon, as well as Speed Control with Tailwind, and disruption with Taunt.
A Dark Tera is chosen for this build for matchups where Tornadus is in danger of Prankster Taunt from opposing Whimsicott.
Tornadus Movesets and Best Builds
Nature | Timid (+Spe, -Atk) |
---|---|
EV Spread | 4 HP / 4 Def / 248 Sp. Atk / 4 Sp. Def / 252 Spe |

Held Item | Life Orb |
Moveset | ・
Hydro Steam
・ Draco Meteor ・ Flamethrower ・ Protect |
Walking Wake is a unique Water-type Pokemon who has the ability to be useful in both Sun and Rain consistently. Walking Wake runs Hydro Steam, its powerful signature move that is able to deal boosted damage in Sun and Rain, as well as STAB Draco Meteor and Flamethrower.
Walking Wake Movesets and Best Builds
Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) |
Gouging Fire |
Walking Wake |
Rillaboom |
Gouging Fire and Tornadus is a strong lead option, with Tornadus setting up all the necessary conditions for Gouging Fire to sweep.
Walking Wake can also benefit from Sun, while Rillaboom can come in, provide Fake Out support, or clean up low HP Pokemon.
Walking Wake |
Iron Hands |
Rillaboom |
Flutter Mane |
Walking Wake and Iron Hands offer a straightforward lead for the team, with Fake Out support from Iron Hands, and Walking Wake's offense.
Rillaboom once again is a reliable anchor for late in the game, as well as Flutter Mane, who can sweep through teams if they have run out of Priority options.
Walking Wake Tera Type: |
Flutter Mane Tera Type: |
Rillaboom Tera Type: |
Walking Wake, Flutter Mane, and Rillaboom all have offensive Teras, which they can use to boost their STAB moves and score decisive KOs.
Gouging Fire Tera Type: |
Iron Hands Tera Type: |
Gouging Fire and Iron Hands have defensive Teras which they can utilize to deny their opponents KOs.
Pelipper Drizzle |
Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) Prankster |
Tyranitar Sand Stream |
While the team is not reliant on Sun to be effective, it does appreciate it to gain useful buffs in a match. Consider using Tornadus's Sunny Day to deny opposing teams of their weather-related advantages.
Porygon2 Download |
Farigiraf Armor Tail |
Dusclops Frisk |
Because the team is fast and offensive, Trick Room may prove to be a difficult matchup for it. Overwhelm the opposing team with damage if Tornadus is unable to Taunt the Trick Room Setter.

This team is insanely bad. Hard lose to any trick room set up. Only has one mode and not even the best at doing that mode.
