Mochi can be used to increase and reset the EVs for your Pokemon's base stats in the Scarlet and Violet DLC. Learn what mochi is, how to get mochi, and a list of all mochi!

| Resist Mochi | Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon's Defense stat. |
| Genius Mochi | Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon's Special Attack stat. |
| Clever Mochi | Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon's Special Defense stat. |
| Swift Mochi | Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon's Speed stat. |
| Fresh-Start Mochi | Resets all of a Pokemon's EVs to 0. |
You can receive Mochi as a reward for completing the Ogre Oustin' minigame. The Ogre Oustin' minigame is only available for players with The Teal Mask DLC, and is unlocked after about an hour of playtime of the DLC's content. In the minigame, you ride Koraidon or Miraidon to pop ogre balloons in a course.
Ogre Oustin' Minigame Rewards and How to Play
Mochi are consumable items that increase a Pokemon's EVs, hidden values which improve a Pokemon's base stats. They function identically to Vitamins, each boosting the EVs for a specific stat by 10 points.
Most Mochi simply add points to a singular base stat, but the Fresh-Start Mochi resets all base stats to zero, allowing you complete control over building your Pokemon's stats up from scratch. There hasn't been a way to do this in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet up to this point aside from decreasing EVs 10 at a time with EV-Reducing Berries, so it's a welcome addition.
