Amoonguss once again proves to be the most consistent and effective VGC Pokemon, as Shohei's Amoonguss was shown to comfortably take a Surging Strikes from Urshifu and a Choice Band Tera Ghost Tera Blast from Dragapult, putting its massive bulk on full display on the Worlds Stage.

Sitrus Berry gives it more valuable staying power, which allowed it to support its team on all the matches that it participated in.

It's hard to go wrong with the standard Amoonguss moveset of Spore, Rage Powder, Pollen Puff, and Protect because of their tried and true consistency, which was masterfully showcased by Shohei Kimura, our 2023 World Champion.
