Leftovers |
The best ability for Spiritomb in Tera Raid Battles is Pressure. Pressure and Infiltrator both do not affect Raid Pokemon, so any of its abilities can work when used in raids.
We also recommend getting a Spiritomb with a Ghost Tera Type to retain its resistance to Bug, and boost the damage of Shadow Ball. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense to maximize survivability while still dealing the most damage possible. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. The Leftovers held item allows Spiritomb to recover HP in between turns, especially during the turns it will use status moves.
Spiritomb Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Taunt to prevent the Raid Boss from using Status moves. |
Optional | Use Will-O-Wisp to halve the Raid Boss' Attack stat. |
Turns 3~5 | Use Nasty Plot three times to maximize Spiritomb's Sp. Atk. |
Turns 6+ | Use Shadow Ball to deal damage. After getting enough Tera Orb charge, Terastallize then continue using Shadow Ball |
Start the battle by using Taunt to prevent the Raid Boss from using Status Moves. You can also use Will-O-Wisp to halve the Raid Boss' Attack, and deal residual damage.
Start boosting Spiritomb's Sp. Attack stat with Nasty Plot to be able to deal the most damage possible later on. After getting the stat boosts, use Shadow Ball to deal super effective damage.
Once you have enough Tera Orb Charge, Terastallize and continue using Shadow Ball. Re-apply Nasty Plot and Taunt as needed.

Shell Bell |
The best ability for Spiritomb in Tera Raid Battles is Infiltrator. Unlike Pressure, Infiltrator is the safer Ability to Skill Swap to Raid Pokemon since the latter will cause you and your teammates to lose 2 PP when using a move.
We also recommend getting a Spiritomb with a Dark Tera Type to retain its resistance to Ghost, and boost the damage of Dark Pulse. As a Special Attacker, a Modest nature would be best.
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense to maximize survivability while still dealing the most damage possible. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Special Defense. The Shell Bell held item allows Spiritomb to recover HP each time it uses Dark Pulse, which after a few Nasty Plots should be enough to ensure full HP replenishment.
Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Optional | Use Skill Swap to swap Abilities with the Raid Pokemon and get their Ability. |
Turns 2~7 | Alternate between Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse to boost Sp. Atk and charge your Tera Orb |
Turns 8+ | Terastallize, and use Dark Pulse to deal double STAB boosted damage and clear the raid. |
Start the battle by using Skill Swap to swap Abilities with the Raid Pokemon and get their Ability while losing Infiltrator which does not do much in Tera Raids.
Alternate between Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse to boost Spiritomb's Special Attack and build tera orb charge respectively.
Once you have enough Tera Orb Charge, Terastallize and continue using Dark Pulse. Re-apply Nasty Plot as needed.
How to Make Best Spiritomb Tera Raid Build |

You can catch a Spiritomb with a Ghost Tera Type at Glaseado Mountain. We recommend searching for it at night.
Make sure to bring a Pokemon that can inflict a status effect to make it easier to catch.

The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
