Summary

Pokeball Icon Use Screech to lower the Raid Boss' Defense.

Pokeball Icon Boost Sceptile's Attack with Swords Dance.

Pokeball Icon Use Solar Blade with Sunny Day up to deal damage to the Raid Boss without charging on the first turn.

Sceptile's attack can be further boosted by using Swords Dance, partnered with Screech to lower the Raid Boss' Defense which maximizes the damage of Sceptile's Solar Blade.

Activate Sunny Day to remove the one-turn charge of Solar Blade.

Best Tera Type, Nature, and Held Item

This build recommends Sceptile to have a Grass Tera Type to maximize the damage dealt by Solar Blade from a double STAB.

As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature is the recommended nature. If Sceptile happens to have a different nature, you can use an Adamant Mint to change its nature.

Let Sceptile hold a Shell Bell to restore health when it deals damage, increasing its survivability against raid bosses.

Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense to increase survivability while dealing the maximum damage possible. EV Train to max out Sceptile's Attack and HP, while adding the remaining EVs into Speed.

Tera Raid Strategy

Sceptile Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Swords Dance to increase Sceptile's Attack.
Turns 4~6 Use Screech to lower the raid boss' Defense.
Turn 7 Activate Sunny Day to remove Solar Blade's one-turn charge.
Turns 8~10 Use Solar Blade to build Tera Orb charge, terastallizing when possible.
Turns 11+ Terastallize and keep using Solar Blade until you beat the raid boss. Feel free to set up any buffs or debuffs you may have lost.

Start the raid battle with Swords Dance and use it three times to boost Sceptile's Attack stat to max it out, followed by Screech three times to lower the Defense of the raid boss by 6 stages.

Activate Sunny Day for Sceptile's Solar Blade to turn its initial two-turn attack to only one-turn.

Use Solar Blade to deal damage and build its Tera Orb Charge. Terastallize to double the STAB for Solar Blade and continue using it until the Raid Boss is defeated.

Turns 7~9 Use Breaking Swipe to deal damage and lower the boss' Attack stat to reduce incoming damage received.
Turns 10+ Terrastalize and switch to using Dragon Claw to deal the most damage until the raid boss is defeated.

Start the raid battle with Swords Dance and use it three times to boost Sceptile's Attack stat to max it out, followed by Screech three times to lower the Defense of the raid boss by 6 stages.

Use Breaking Swipe to effectively deal damage while also decreasing the enemy's Attack by one stage, reducing the damage you'll receive when you're facing a physical attacker.

Switch to Dragon Claw to deal the most damage as it has a higher attack power. Terastallize to double the STAB for both Breaking Swipe and Dragon Claw , and continue using them depending on the situation until the Raid Boss is defeated.
