Light Clay |
Amazing Defensive support Pokemon due to Aurora Veil. Access to Draining Kiss lets it have a decent recovery option. Amazing movepool that can be mixed and matched depending on the scenario. |
The best ability for Alolan Ninetales is Snow Warning. This will allow it to fully utilize the move Aurora Veil, which is basically Light Screen and Reflect in one move. This build also lets it override any weather the Raid Boss would prefer to set-up.
This build focuses on helping out allies' damage with Helping Hand to deal the most damage that they could. If you don't need to do so, you also have an option to attack and recover some HP with Draining Kiss
We also recommend getting an Alolan Ninetales with a Fairy Tera Type but as you're most likely not Terastallizing if you're running support. As a Support, a Calm Nature would be best to ensure it can take Special Attack hits.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your Sp.Def and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Give Alolan Ninetales a Light Clay to extend the duration of Aurora Veil even when Snow is removed.
Alolan Ninetales Tera Raid Situational Strategies | |
---|---|
Screen Setter | Help the other attackers by setting up an Aurora Veil after Snow is up. |
Buffer | Make sure the team is sufficiently buffed with Helping Hand to buff Special attacks! |
Self Sustaining Attacker | Once you set up your buffs and debuffs, you can pivot into attacking with Draining Kiss. |
Weather Setter | Keep Snow up using Snowscape. |
This Build focuses setting up Snow with Snow Warning and Snowscape. This will help also out other Ice type attackers and other Pokemon that could benefit from having Snow up.
After Snow is up, immediately use Aurora Veil to help out the team defensively. This is an amazing move especially for Raid bosses that are Mixed Attackers.
You can also heal yourself up with and help dish out damage with Draining Kiss.
Alolan Ninetales is an amazing Pokemon whose moveset lets it focus on supporting ally Pokemon. Here's some moves we could recommend that could help in certain types of raids.
Move | Case |
---|---|
Charm | Great to use on Raid Bosses who prefer to attack with Physical Attacks. You can focus on having Defense EVs instead if needed. |
Fake Tears | Great debuffing move that can shred opponent's Sp. Def. |
Chilling Water | Defensive option that let's it shred the opponent's Atk. |
Howl | Amazing support move as a good amount of Ice types are Physical oriented like Calyrex and Crabominable. |
Tail Whip | Can be an alternative to Helping Hand if an ally prefers to attack with Physical Attacks. |
Misty Terrain | Great for opponents that like to use Status Conditions. Can also be great against Dragon Type Pokemon. |

Amazing Snow setter. Access to Fake Tears and Nasty Plot makes it a decent attacker. Moonblast is one of the most powerful Fairy Type moves available. |
The best ability for Alolan Ninetales in Tera Raid Battles is Snow Warning. This will let Alolan Ninetales boost its Defense stat on top of Aurora Veil so it can set up safely.
Alolan Ninetales also gets access to Nasty Plot and Fake Tears, amazing buffing moves that will allow Alolan Ninetales to consistently deal damage.
We also recommend getting a Ninetales with a Fairy Tera Type to boost the damage of Ninetales' Moonblast. As a Special Attacker, a Modest Nature would be best to ensure it hits as hard as possible with its special moves.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize
Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your Sp.Def and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Give it a Shell Bell to help Ninetales recover HP when it attacks.
Ninetales Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy | |
---|---|
Turn 1 | Use Aurora Veil to raise your Defenses. |
Turns 2~4 | Use Fake Tears to lower the raid boss' Sp. Def. |
Low HP Turns | Use Moonblast to heal yourself with your Shell Bell. |
Turns 5~7 | Use Nasty Plot to max out your Sp. Atk. |
Turns 8+ | Attack with Moonblast. Terastallize when you are able to. |
Start the Tera Raid by using Aurora Veil to boost your Defenses while you set up, next, get your buffs up with Nasty Plot and Fake Tears. Gauge the Raid Boss' behavior to see how it likes to clear buffs and react accordingly.
Make sure to keep your health up by attacking with Moonblast while also building up Tera Orb Charge. When you have enough Tera Orb charge, terastallize into a Fairy-type and keep using Moonblast to damage the Tera Raid boss' shield and finish it off! Note that you can only set up Aurora Veil when it is Snowing so make sure you dont faint after Terastallizing.

Alolan Vulpix doesn't appear in the overworld in Hisui normally as a wild Pokemon. In completing Snow-White Vulpix in the Snow (Request 83), you'll receive an Alolan Vulpix as a reward.
You can get an Alolan Vulpix as a prize from the Diglett Master in the Isle of Armor after collecting 20 Alolan Diglett!
An NPC in Celadon City will trade as many Alolan Vulpix as you want just as long as you have a regular Vulpix to trade her. This trade is exclusive to Pokemon Let's Go: Eevee.
If the Alolan Ninetales build you are following requires it to have a different Tera type, you will need to have 50 Tera Shards of the type you need, and bring it to Medali to have your Pokemon's Tera Type changed.
Use a Modest Mint for the attacker builds, while you can use a Calm Mint for the Support build.
The easiest way to get this is by buying it from the Chansey Supply shop at Mesagoza for ₽20,000.
How to Change a Pokemon's Nature

EV train Alolan Ninetales according to the build's EV spread using Vitamins, Mochis, or the traditional way with Power Items and battling Pokemon with the right EV yield.
Vitamins can be bought at any Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 to fully train a Pokemon. Meanwhile, Mochi can be obtained through the Ogre Oustin' Minigame.
If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 Iron (for Def) or Zinc, 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and an HP Up (for HP). All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total. You can also use Mochis in place of the Vitamins.
