Jolteon is exceptionally fast and can pressure opponents with powerful Thunderbolts, and Ice-type Tera Blasts. It is important to know, however, that plenty of Pokemon can outspeed it. It is important to know which Pokemon those are so that you can keep Jolteon out of danger.
Yawn | Jolteon's high Speed Stat make it a good Pokemon to run Yawn. |

Jolteon can pivot out of the active position with a quick Volt Switch. This can get it out of danger, and position you for a better matchup against your opponent's active Pokemon.
Jolteon can effectively support teammates who are weak to Electric-type moves, being able to sponge them up with Volt Absorb.
Its Water-type teammates can also assist Jolteon by disposing of Ground-types that give Jolteon a hard time.

Jolteon's Volt Absorb Ability makes it a great switch-in to Electric-type Moves. This allows it to support teammates who are weak to Electric.
Teammates who are weak to Electric, are usually Water-types like Palafin and Gyarados, who in turn can help Jolteon against Ground-types.
Some Pokemon can put a hard stop to Jolteon's offense, even with Tera Ice. Ground-types can stop Jolteon from Volt Switching out.
