Pokemon Scarlet and Violet SV - Midterm Rewards

After taking three sessions of each class, you will unlock the corresponding Midterm exam. These exams have a total of five questions, of which you need at least three correct answers to pass! After another three sessions, you'll unlock the Final Exam which contains five questions and requires at least four correct answers to pass!

The award for passing one Midterm exam is five Exp. Candy S, and one Final exam is five Exp. Candy M, which can be used to give your Pokemon a small boost. All in all, passing every Midterm and Final Exam will get you 35 Exp. Candy S, 35 Exp. Candy M, and an additional five Exp. Candy L for completing all classes.

Only 3 classes are available when you first get to the academy:

Math Critical Hit Rates, Shiny Rates, etc.
Battle Studies Pokemon Stat Explanations, Type Weaknesses, Battle Tips, etc.

Once the Treasure Hunt starts and you're free to roam about the world, 2 more classes unlock:

After beating the second gym, you will unlock:

Languages Basics of Languages (e.g. How to say "Hello!" in French, Spanish, etc.)
Art Pokemon Watching and Appreciation (Terastallization Info), Identifying Tera Types, Lore

More classes unlock when you clear each gym, giving you more options and rewards.

Go to enough classes and you can take the mid-term and later on the final exam for each subject. Passing these exams will give you rewards.

Note that there are a total of six classes per subject, excluding the Midterm and Final Exams.

Classes give you basic information about different aspects of Pokemon, like battling, type weaknesses, and other tips and tricks!

If you're a Pokemon veteran, you probably won't learn anything new. But if you're new to Pokemon or need a refresher, the classes can help ease you into the game.

You can sign up for classes at the main desk whenever you're at the academy.
