Both types turn Calyrex Shadow Rider's Ghost and Dark weaknesses into a neutral hit and resist respectively. The main thing to note is that Fighting provides better offensive coverage while Fairy provides better defensive coverage.

EV Spread and Nature

A full 252 EVs are placed in Calyrex Shadow Rider's Sp. Atk and Speed to make it hit as hard and fast as possible. The extra 4 EVs are put into its HP to help round out its bulk.

A Timid nature is preferred to help Calyrex Shadow Rider outspeed as many Pokemon as possible.

Other Viable Moves

Grass Knot Helps Calyrex Shadow Rider deal with common Pokemon that are used to wall it like Ting-Lu.
Psychic Does slightly more damage than Psyshock, but makes Calyrex Shadow Rider susceptible to being walled by Pokemon with a high Special Defense.
Draining Kiss Lets Calyrex deal with Dark-types without it having to Terastallize. Ideally, it would need to have a Nasty Plot boost and Tera Fairy to be more effective than Tera Blast.

Save Terastallization for the Perfect Moment

Terastallization is a very important tool to ensure Calyrex Shadow Rider stays alive and doesn't get knocked out by moves with an increased priority.

If you don't use or have Terastallization, Calyrex Shadow Rider can easily get knocked out by Shadow Sneak or Sucker Punch. On the other hand, if you use it too early, it could get knocked out by moves like Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch if it Terastallizes to Fairy.
