Flutter Mane Glitch

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Shiny Flutter Mane Glitch

For players with access to Area Zero in Pokemon Scarlet, there's a glitch that allows you to greatly increase your chances of finding multiple Shiny Flutter Mane!

Requirements for Flutter Mane Glitch

  • Ingredients to create a Sandwich with Sparkling Power and Encounter Power for Ghost Types.
  • Access to Area Zero
  • Dusk Balls

How to Use the Flutter Mane Glitch

1 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Set Up a Picnic
Setup a Picnic somewhere near Area Zero. For best results, do this at the start of the day.
2 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Sandwich Ghost Power
Create a Shiny Sandwich for Ghost Type Pokemon!
Recommended Recipe: Salty Herba Mystica (x2) and a Red Onion! If you don't have 2 Salty Herba Mystica, you can use 1 Salty and 1 Spicy Herba Mystica.
3 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Cave Entrance From Station 3
Enter Area Zero and head to Station 3. From here, enter the cave before you. You should see no Pokemon inside at this time.
4 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Cave Platform
Inside the cave, you should find a central platform. You'll need to head over here and stand in the center.
5 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Regular Flutter Mane
Look around you and press ZL. This will cause Flutter Mane to spawn, but they will just as quickly disappear. This is similar to the Picnic Table Method for respawning.
6 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Shiny Flutter Mane Appears
A Shiny Flutter Mane should appear in the first few minutes! Capture it with Dusk Balls!
If you can't find one, try checking near the Crystals as Pokemon can sometimes glitch inside them.
7 Repeat until your Meal Power runs out!

Should Work on Other Pokemon

This same glitch should also work on other Pokemon that appear only during certain times of day! For best results, find areas where they are the only Pokemon of their type to spawn and adjust the Shiny Sandwich for those encounters!

For other Pokemon that aren't glitching, check out our Shiny Hunting Guide!

Shiny Flutter Mane Glitch

Quick Ball Exploit

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Quick Ball Exploit

Quick Balls are an effective way to catch Pokemon easily. This type of Poke Ball has a high capture rate when used right at the start of an encounter.

How to Use the Quick Ball Exploit

1 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Encounter a Pokemon
Encounter a Pokemon.
2 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Throwing a Quick Ball
Throw a Quick Ball on the first turn.
A Quick Ball is most effective when used at the start of a wild encounter.
3 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Run Away from Battle
If it breaks out, run away.
Quick Ball loses its effectiveness if it is thrown after the first turn, so it is best to simply run away from the battle and encounter the Pokemon again to essentially reset the battle.
4 Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Repeat Until Caught
Repeat steps 1-3 until it is captured.

Picnic Item Farm Glitch

Picnic Item Farm - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)

If you just broke the bank EV Training your Pokemon or need more money in general, then this little trick will help you farm Star Pieces and earn you between ₽60,000 - ₽100,000 every 30 minutes.

Picnic Item Farm Glitch Potential Earnings

Time Required Earnings
30 Minutes ₽66,000 to ₽102,000
(based on testing)
1 Hour ₽132,000 to ₽204,000 (estimated)
2 Hours ₽264,000 to ₽408,000 (estimated)
3 Hours ₽396,000 to ₽612,000 (estimated)

Requirements for Picnic Item Farm Glitch

  • Two of the same Pokemon (gender does not matter).
  • Bananas.
  • Peanut Butter.
  • Butter.
  • Sandwich Pick of choice.
  • The patience to walk around a desert looking for Star Pieces.

How to Do the Picnic Item Farm Glitch

1 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, First Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Turn off Autosaving through the Options Menu.
2 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Second Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Go to the Asado Desert and look for items on the ground that sparkle.
Make sure the item's on an even enough surface so you can lay down a picnic table.
3 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Third Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Pick the items up to check what they are, but save your game before you do so.
Do this so if you pick the item up and it turns out to be a Star Piece, you only need to quit the game and open your previous save to have it back on the ground again.
4 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Fourth Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Once you find a Star Piece, get ready to lay down your picnic table.
The Egg Basket must cover the sparkling item on the ground for this exploit to work.
5 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Fifth Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Make a Great Peanut Butter Sandwich.
This sandwich increases your Egg Power, which affects the chances of finding Star Pieces in the Egg Basket.
If you don't have the Great Peanut Butter sandwich recipe yet, just combine Bananas, Butter, and Peanut Butter in Creative Mode.
6 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Sixth Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Wait.
Once you've eaten the sandwich, wait for a while before Star Pieces start appearing in your Egg Basket.
7 Picnic Item Farm Glitch, Seventh Step - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)
Enjoy your new Star Piece/Item Farm.
While waiting for more Star Pieces, you can leave the game running on the Switch and do something else in the meantime as items accumulate in the egg basket.
We recommend using a timer so you can keep track of when the effects of the Great Peanut Butter Sandwich have worn off after 30 minutes. Once they do, make another Great Peanut Butter Sandwich.

Picnic Item Farm Glitch

Duplication Glitch

NOTE: This glitch has been fixed as of Version 1.1.0 on December 1, 2022. If you want to take advantage of this exploit, avoid updating your game until you've finished duping any items you need!

A glitch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet allows you to duplicate both the legendary Pokemon Koraidon or Miraidon, as well an item of your choice.

If you've already finished the game and have access to either Koraidon or Miraidon's battle form, you can potentially have a huge amount of Master Balls, Big Nuggets, Rare Candies, etc.

Requirements for Duplication Glitch

  • Access to Miraidon or Koraidon in Battle Form.
  • The item of your choice.
  • An almost full party (leave just one space empty for Miraidon/Koraidon and Pokemon we'll need to catch for the glitch).
  • A rather fast thumb.

How to Duplicate Koraidon/Miraidon and Items

1
Change your Miraidon/Koraidon into Battle Form.
2
Give it the item you want to duplicate.
In this case, we're duplicating a Master Ball.
3
Change Miraidon/Koraidon into Riding Form and go out to catch Pokemon.
4
At your desired hunting spot, change Miraidon/Koraidon into Battle Form again.
5
Catch a Pokemon. Any Pokemon will do.
Accept this Pokemon in your team. We suggest hunting for low level Pokemon and using Great Balls or Ultra Balls if you can afford them.
6
You'll be asked which Pokemon to send to your Boxes to make space for your new Pokemon. Highlight Miraidon/Koraidon.
But don't press anything yet.
7 Press the A and B Buttons at almost the same time to send Miraidon/Koraidon to your Box.
The trick is to fully press the A Button and then quickly flatten the B Button with the rest of your thumb as if you pressed both buttons at the same moment. If it doesn't work, the game will say "You can't send [Miraidon/Koraidon] to your Boxes", but you'll have the chance to do it again.
8
If you're successful, you'll be asked if you want to store the item Miraidon/Koraidon is holding.
Pick "Place the item in your Bag". This puts the duplicated item into your possession.
9
The new Pokemon will be put into your party, and Miraidon/Koraidon will disappear.
Don't panic; they haven't disappeared for good. Press the "+ Button" to make a new Miraidon/Koraidon appear in their Riding Form while still holding the original item you wanted to duplicate. Meanwhile, your original Koraidon will be in your Box, waiting to be taken out.
10
If you want more of the item you duplicated, repeat steps 1-9.
Enjoy your mountains of Master Balls, Rare Candies, Big Nuggets, and Miraidons/Koraidons.

Run Faster Glitch

If you want to somehow increase your movement speed on foot, then you might want to try connecting a second controller to your Nintendo Switch. Using two controllers increases his/her running speed.

Requirements for Run Faster Glitch

  • A second controller.
  • A Switch in handheld mode.
  • A reason not to ride Miraidon/Koraidon instead.

How to Do Run Faster Glitch

1 Connect a second controller to your Switch
2 Fire up Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
3 Run with your character using both controllers.
Make sure the left analog sticks on both controllers are being pushed in the same direction.
4 Enjoy your faster running speed.

Backwards Jump Glitch

In the early game, it's frustrating to find yourself unable to scale mountains or climb up ledges! Using the Backwards Jump Glitch is one sure way to bypass all of that!

How to Do the Backwards Jump Glitch

1 Turn so that you are facing the opposite direction of where you want to go.
2 Jump or long jump and without pushing the joystick.
3 Once you are midair, pull back your joystick to move backwards.
4 Head up areas you can't scale this way, occasionally adjusting your position along the way!

Pokemon Battle Teleport Glitch

This teleport exploit allows you to reach areas that are usually not accessible in the early game, such as the small islands surrounded by the water in South Province (Area Five). You can also use it to teleport out of bounds though it may take a few tries to achieve it.

How to Do the Pokemon Battle Teleport Exploit

1 Press and hold the ZL Button to lock-on to the wild Pokemon.
2 Release the ZL button to initiate a battle with the targeted wild Pokemon.
3 If done correctly, the player character will teleport to get close to the wild Pokemon during the battle. Defeat the Pokemon or run from it to freely roam around the area where you teleported to.

They only patched the dupe legendary on 1.1 On 1.2 they fully patched it in all it's steps, the "cloning" effect still plays but you won't actually clone the pokemon item/stats I guess the only useful thing would be for those that want battle and ride for without the trouble of changing every time

The dupes glitch no longer works.
