Defeat "Tyranitar the Unrivaled" in a Black Crystal Tera Raid during the event and you'll get a Ghost Tera Type Tyranitar with the Mightiest Mark.
Treasures and Battle Items
Obtain various items which you can use to build battle-ready Pokemon or sell in stores for money.
Unlock Requirements Unlock 6-Star Tera Raid Battles to Participate
To do this, you'll need to complete the Academy Ace Tournament, then do 8-10 4-Star or 5-Star Raids until you get a call from Jacq.

Round 2 of the 7-Star Tera Raid Event featuring Tyranitar with a Ghost Tera Type is now over. The event ran from March 28, 2025 (00:00 UTC) up until April 06, 2025 (11:59 UTC) as a set with the Powerhouse Pokemon Tera Raid Events.

Tyranitar with the Mightiest Mark, the featured Pokemon for this event, could only be caught once. However, you could still participate in this event even after you've caught Tyranitar if you wanted to get more of its rewards.

Just like previous 7-Star Tera Raid events, the 7-Star Tyranitar Raid Dens would only spawn in Paldea. If you haven't purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, no need to worry as the Raid Den cannot appear in Kitakami or the Terarium. You also don't need to do the Mochi Mayhem Epilogue in order to start this raid.

At the beginning of the Raid, Tyranitar will use Focus Energy to increase its chance to land Critical Hits. Either try to use a Pokemon with Shell Armor or make use of it with Anger Point.

If you want to solo this Raid, it is necessary for NPC Allies with the Ability Intimidate. While Tyranitar does have an increased Crit chance, lowering Tyranitar's Attack can help .

The best counters for the Tyranitar Tera Raid are Krookodile or Crawdaunt! Krookodile has an amazing type combination that resists Tyranitar's attacking moves along with being able to learn Power Trip!

Crawdaunt might be a slower clear, but gets Shell Armor which lets it tank Tyranitar's moves and hit back with STAB Super-Effective Crunch!

Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Note! Make sure you have an ally with Intimidate! Staraptor is the best choices since it also has Feather Dance, but other NPC allies can work as well.
Turns 1~2 Use Breaking Swipe to build your Tera Orb Charge. Make sure you don't faint, just keep stalling until your health gets low.
Turns 3~4 When you're about to faint and its Shield isn't up, use Taunt you should be able to outspeed. By fainting, you can force the timer to go down and Tyranitar will be forced to get its shield up and fail to use both Dragon Dances
Turns 5~6 Once you're back, either use Bulk Up or Breaking Swipe depending on your Tera Orb Charge then check if it Crits or not. If it does, Terastallize; if not, use Bulk Up.
Turns 7+ If it lands a Crit, your Anger Point should activate and you can just keep attacking it with a Tera Boosted Power Trip. You can keep attacking until it faints.

Turns 9~10 Keep using Swords Dance to max out your attack.
Turns 11+ Terastallize, then keep attacking with Crunch until Tyranitar faints.

Meal Powers last for 30 minutes, so try to find and beat as many raids as possible during that time!

How to Join 7-Star Tyranitar Raid Event

Unlock 6-Star Tera Raids to Participate

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - 7-Star Tera Raid Battle World View

Tyranitar normally cannot be found in Paldea, making the 7-Star Event Tyranitar quite the catch, but you have to fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.

These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in advance. It's also recommended to complete the post-game before you participate. Players who are in earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be extremely difficult.

Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile, normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.

When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star Tyranitar, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid symbol on the map with the Ghost-type icon.

If you're trying the Crawdaunt build, use 200 HP / 252 ATK / 52 SPD to be able to outspeed Tyranitar. Sometimes there is jank in the strategy with the timing of Taunt before the shield and how many turns you have until you faint, but if things come together at the right time, it will work as described. Thank you!

With the Crawdaunt build "you should be able to out speed" is absolute bullshit. T-tar has a base speed stat of 61 vs Crawdaunt's 55. You need speed investment for this build to work the way you say it should.
