Fantasy Team: Best Teams for Worlds 2023

Players will be given the chance to take part in Fantasy Team which will allow players and spectators to earn prizes based on how Pokemon perform in the 2023 World Championships! Read on to learn more about Fantasty Team, how to participate, and what rewards you can earn!

Details	Each participant selects 6 Pokemon. The participant with the 6 most successful Pokemon at the end of the 2023 Pokemon World Championships is the victor!

Players are given the chance to choose six Pokemon and earn points based on how well they perform in the Pokemon World Championships.

There are separate competitions for Pokemon TCG and Pokemon VGC teams, which lets players have twice as many Pokemon to root for througout Worlds Weekend.

How To Participate in the Fantasy Team Competition

Only United States Residents are Eligible

The 2023 Pokemon World Championships Fantasy Team is open only to US Residents residing in the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older.

It is free to enter, requiring only a Pokemon Trainer Club account to join.

Urshifu is so impactful, that its presence in the metagame singlehandedly raised the usage of Tera Water and Rocky Helmet to combat its effectiveness.

A Stretchy Form Tatsugiri has been announced as a free in-person distribution at the Yokohama Pokemon World Championships, 2023, as well as for players in the United States who register a Fantasy Team. This Tatsugiri will be holding a Big Nugget, come in the Cherish Ball and have the special move Celebrate!

Note that only the first 10,000 people who apply for it in person, as well as the first 10,000 people who register a Fantasy Team for either TCG or VGC at the 2023 World Championships in Yokohama will be eligible.
