Summary

Summary
Pokeball IconLower damage from Super-Effective moves with Prism Armor.

Pokeball IconHighest Attack stat for a Steel Physical attacker that gets access to Swords Dance.

Pokeball IconAmazing Bulk that is complimented with access to Reflect or Light Screen.

The only ability Necrozma has access to is Prism Armor. This, plus its access to both Light Screen and Reflect lets it tank a ton of hits while setting up its buffs in order to beat almost any Steel weak Tera Raid Boss with Sunsteel Strike.

Best Tera Type

We recommend getting a Necrozma with a Steel Tera Type since it will improve the power of its Steel-type Iron Head or Sunsteel Strike. As a Physical Attacker, an Adamant nature would be best.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Max out Necrozma's HP and Sp.Atk EVs while adding the remaining 4 EVs into Special Defense so that Necrozma can hit as hard as possible with Sunsteel Strike.

For this build, giving it a Shell Bell allows it to recover health while dealing damage.

Tera Raid Strategy

Necrozma Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Reflect or Light Screen to max out your Defense Stat.
Turns 2~4 Use Swords Dance to max out Necrozma's Atk.
Turns 4~6 Use Iron Head to build Tera Orb Charges.
Turns ~7+ Terastallize and swap to attacking withSunsteel Strike to deal a lot of damage! Set up any buffs you may have lost if needed.

Start off by setting up a Reflect or Light Screen, this combined with your Prism Armor will help you tank hits while setting up.

Follow up by setting up with Swords Dance. This will give Necrozma the boost it needs to beat over the Raid Boss. Follow it up by attacking with Iron Head to build Tera Orb Charges.

When you have enough Tera Orb charge to terastallize, proceed to Terastalize and start spamming Sunsteel Strike to damage the raid Pokemon's shield and finish the battle!

Start off by setting up a Reflect or Light Screen, this combined with your Prism Armor will help you tank hits while setting up.
