Summary

Pokeball IconUse Liquid Voice turns Hyper Voice into an equivalent damaging move to Sparkling Aria.

Pokeball IconAmazing Bulk combined with access to both screen moves.

Pokeball IconLower damage of Fire-type moves while powering up your Water-type moves.

The best ability for Primarina in this build is Liquid Voice. This will let Primarina attack with a Water-type Hyper Voice which lets it deal as much damage as Sparkling Aria.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting a Primarina with a Water Tera Type to boost the damage of Primarina' moves. As a Special Attacker, a Modest Nature would be best to ensure it hits as hard as possible with its special moves.
Best Tera Types: Best Pokemon to Terastallize

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your HP and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Sp.Def. Give it a Shell Bell to help Primarina recover HP when it attacks.

Tera Raid Strategy

Primarina Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turn 1 Use Light Screen or Reflect to raise your Defenses.
Turns 2~7 Use Calm Mind to max out your Sp. Atk.
Low HP Turns Use Sparkling Aria or Hyper Voice to heal yourself with your Shell Bell.
Turn 8 Use Rain Dance to power up your Attacks.
Turns 9+ Attack with Sparkling Aria or Hyper Voice. Terastallize when you are able to and set up any buffs you may have lost.

Start the Tera Raid by using Light Screen or Reflect to boost your Defenses while you set up, next, get your buffs up with Calm Mind. Gauge the Raid Boss' behavior to see how it likes to clear buffs and react accordingly.

Make sure to keep your health up by attacking with Hyper Voice or Sparkling Aria. while also building up Tera Orb Charge. When you have enough Tera Orb charge, terastallize into a Water-type and keep attacking to damage the Tera Raid boss' shield and finish it off!

Be careful of Raid Bosses with Soundproof (e.g. Kommo-o or Bastiodon) as you will have no ways to damage the Raid Boss unless you swap out your attacking move with Surf.

Best Tera Type

We also recommend getting an Primarina with a Fairy Tera Type but as you're most likely not Terastallizing if you're running support. As a Support, a Calm Nature would be best to ensure it can take Special Attack hits.

EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards bulky offense. Max out your Sp.Def and Sp.Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into HP. Give Primarina a Light Clay to extend the duration of your screens.

Tera Raid Strategy

Screen Setter Help your allies by setting up a Reflect or Light Screen.
Status Prevention Prevent Status Conditions for allies by setting up a Misty Terrain.
Debuffer Lower the Raid Boss' attack using Chilling Water.
Healer Heal allies up with Life Dew.

This build allows you to help out the team defensively with either Reflect or Light Screen. You can also further lower damage taken from Physical Attacks with Chilling Water.

Misty Terrain and Life Dew are used to further sustain your allies byu preventing Status Conditions and healing them up respectively.

Alternative Moves

Primarina is an amazing Pokemon whose moveset lets it focus on supporting ally Pokemon. Here's some moves we could recommend that could help in certain types of raids.

Move Case
Charm Great to use on Raid Bosses who prefer to attack with Physical Attacks. Note that it cannot be used when the Raid Boss shields up.
Rain Dance Lower damage dealt by Fire-type moves and increase damage dealt by Water-type moves.
Haze Remove buffs from the Raid Boss.
Psychic Noise Situational, but very useful for those Raid Bosses that like to use healing moves.
Ice Spinner Can be useful for removing pesky Terrain that benefits the Raid Boss.
