The first thing you need to do to unlock the secret Team Star side quest is to finish the Starfall Street route in the main game.
In this route, you need to raid all Team Star bases scattered all over Paldea and defeat all 5 Team Star leaders.

After finishing the base game, head back to the academy to find Penny at the lobby spying on Giacomo and Ortega.
FInish watching this scene and you are ready to move on to the next step!
Post Game Content: What to Do After the Story
Next, you need to go to take at least one of the optional classes in the academy. Keep attending the class you have chosen and see it through to the final exam.

The Indigo Disk DLC Story Walkthrough

After completing all the unlock conditions for this secret side quest, head to the academy in Paldea and look for Giacomo and Eri at the lobby.
Talk to them to start the quest.
After your first conversation with them has ended, talk to them again and say “Yes” when they ask if you are all set to be a tutor.
They will then take you to their classroom where you will meet the other Team Star members.
Next, you need to find Mela in the schoolyard.
Head out of the classroom and go to the schoolyard. Once you have arrived, turn left to find Mela standing beside a plant bed.
Talk to her, then head back to the classroom.
Now that every Team Star leader is in the classroom, it is time to study!
Talk to Ortega, Atticus, and Mela to answer their questions and help them with their studies.
Talk to Ortega to “see how it's going” with his studies. When he asks you about his literature dilemma, answer him with “She must actually love him a lot”.
Talk to Atticus next to learn that he is struggling with Mathematics and numbers. When he tells you that numbers have nothing to do with fashion, answer him with “No, you'll need numbers” to convince him otherwise.
Finally, talk to Mela and help her answer the practice questions she's working on.

After completing the quest, Eri will reward you with some Team Star clothes and accessories. There are only a few types of clothes in the game, so it is great to have other options like the Team Star outfits!

They are not wearing their Team Star outfits anymore and they don't look as intimidating as before.
It is a must-see for fans who are rooting for these Team Star members!

Other than changing into their regular uniforms, Giacomo's and Ortega's appearances did not really change much.
As for Atticus, his appearance also did not change much from when he revealed his true face by the end of Starfall Street during the main story.
