Best Strategy to Beat Poppy

Bring Fire Type Pokemon

Ceruledge Pokemon SV
Poppy's team is made up of predominantly Steel Types, which are not only weak to Fire, but only deal half damage to Fire Type Pokemon. Therefore, bringing Fire Type Pokemon is your surest path to victory against Poppy. Arcanine is the best Pokemon to bring for this match up, as not only is it a Fire Type which can deal STAB super effective damage, but its Intimidate Ability allows it to lower Poppy's team's Attack stat, which is crucial as most of her team are Physical attackers.

Watch Out For Bronzong's Levitate

As a Steel Type, Bronzong is weak to Ground Type attacks. Thanks to its Levitate ability however, it is able render Ground Type attacks completely useless. Make sure you utilize Fire Type Pokemon instead against Bronzong.
