Houndstone has a good stat spread, great Ability and excellent signature move. During a Sandstorm its Speed stat is doubled, leaving only Electrode and Dragapult out-speeding it in the current format. Its signature move, Last Respects becomes more powerful for each of your Pokemon that has fainted, making Houndstone a great late game sweeper with a 150 Base Power STAB move if it is the last Pokemon remaining on your team (200 in Doubles).
